Hello SLB family! Welcome to our “meet the staff” series where we take a moment to introduce and recognize our amazing clinicians and administrative staff. First up, one of our fearless leaders, Crystal. Crystal Doerr is a co-owner of SLB and serves as both Administrative Director and Speech-Language Pathologist. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she brings a deep passion for helping children find their voice—literally and figuratively. Crystal earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and began her career in a hospital setting, where she specialized in pediatric speech therapy.
Throughout her career, Crystal has worked in early intervention, outpatient, and private practice settings. She has advanced expertise in treating childhood apraxia of speech, feeding and swallowing disorders, orofacial myofunctional disorders, and a broad range of speech-language delay and disorders. Her experience is enriched by her personal journey as a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, giving her unique insight and empathy in her work with children with ASD.
Crystal and her husband, Rob, have lived in Midland for the past 11 years, raising their four amazing children—two girls and two boys—who keep them joyfully busy. Originally from Farmington, NM, Crystal values faith, family, health, hard work, and adventure. Outside the clinic, she loves CrossFit, playing pickleball, reading, and cheering on her kids in their many activities.
She is an active member of Hope Community Church and finds great fulfillment in serving others both professionally and personally. Her favorite part of working at SLB is partnering with families to equip and empower them, celebrating each milestone as a child grows in confidence, communication, and connection.
