Our thoughts are with all those impacted by the devastating storms this weekend. In times of crisis, mental health support is crucial. The APA’s Committee on the Psychiatric Dimensions of Disaster has valuable resources to help psychiatrists and communities navigate the emotional and psychological effects of disasters.

Access them here: https://www.psychiatry.org/psychiatrists/disaster-resources-for-psychiatrists-communities

In the time of a community disaster, we all cope differently and have a role to play in recovery. APA has curated and developed resources for communities experiencing disasters—from families and patients to psychiatrists and mental health providers.
