Yesterday, ANHA CEO Brandon Farmer participated in a panel discussion addressing rural healthcare needs at the Alabama Forestry Association’s 2026 Public Policy Seminar. Senate President Pro Tem Garlan Gudger moderated the panel of healthcare and policy leaders. Farmer highlighted the importance of adequate and sustainable reimbursement models, workforce development, and long-term sustainability in strengthening rural healthcare access.

Volunteer opportunities in the Troy area!

It’s a new year, and Troy Health and Rehab is looking to bring in new activities and groups to add alongside the wonderful ones we already have. We are searching for more volunteers to help make our daily activities even more special for our residents! 💙

We offer activities every day at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and our residents have been requesting:
🎶 More singing groups
⛪ Church groups to come visit
🎩 A magician 😜
🎨 Someone to host a paint party
✨ And anyone willing to share a special talent or hobby

If you have a talent you’d love to share or a heart for serving others, we would love to hear from you!

Even though these came a little after the 25th, we still wanted to recognize Ridgeview and Ridgewood Health Services in Jasper, Cloverdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Scottsboro, and Aliceville Manor Nursing Home in Aliceville for their resident's ornaments that now adorn our ANHA Christmas tree. We are thankful for all of the members who shared this opportunity with their residents and mailed their packages to us!
