When we were off for the holidays, we were reminiscing through photos of 2025 and ran across this one.

Although there were beautiful boards in every class, we had to vote this board the best one of the year! The Williams really thought this out and worked great together to make this come to life! Beautiful!

We are so blessed to have met so many amazing people over the years and we are excited when we think of the ones to come!

“It’s just a table until souls gather round it”

If you’re wondering, this table was our most popular design this past year. Customers love the design of the legs, and how any chairs will fit around it. Evan though it’s our most popular, you can still make it yours by deciding on size, wood type, stain color, and several other things!

“It’s just a table until souls gather around it”.

If you’re wondering, our most popular design by far this year was this table. People love the look of the legs and the fact that they don’t get in the way of any type of chair that they use. And as a new year starts, we already have a few orders for this table again!

Even though this is a popular table, you can make it your own, by choosing lumber type, stain color, and size. Several of our customers bring their chairs in so that we can match the color!

As 2025 comes to an end, we want to thank our awesome customers so much, who trusted us to make their visions come true.

“The furniture represents the personality of the maker”.

I guess that means I don’t like throwing anything away and that I depend on my tribe. The wood shop has been cluttered for years with corners of tables that we cut off when making round tables. I’ll admit that I’ve never really had an idea of a special (not custom) piece that wasn’t inspired in some way by another piece that I saw. But after turning “scrap” corners into a base for this coffee table, I believe I finally have. I googled the photo and couldn’t find another base like this one.

This base went on a coffee table that had a thick White Oak slab from one of the historic homes in Old Coverdale. My good friend Robert Dowd, at CMT Tree Service brought me the log, and another good friend, Jimmy Albright, who owns a large mill, sawed the logs into slabs. Then another good friend, Rod Billett, tuned the CNC and told it to flatten the slab.

Blessed is an understatement! We love what we do! If you have a unique vision for a custom piece of furniture that will define your home, let’s work together to make it happen!

Hey everybody!! Thank you for all the wonderful response to the classes we posted for January and February 2026. They filled up quick! We have had so many inquiries into when were we going to do more that we thought we’d add one more class before the grandbabies were due to arrive:)

I just added Feb 13th at 6pm…that’s the Friday before Valentine’s Day especially for those that couldn’t get in that class. Hope to see you soon!!

As we roll into the new year (yes can you believe it’s about to be 2026!!) I have posted a couple of dates for Date Night classes….Jan 23 and Feb 14. We love this class! So much fun for our participants but especially for us:) Dinner is provided but most importantly while creating you are building memories with your special someone!

As Neill posted a couple of weeks ago, we aren’t able to do as many classes as we used to do because the custom furniture side of our business has skyrocketed! Also we can’t do as many classes because we are expecting two grandsons in the spring in two different states. Pops and Syllie need to be available for the big events and help:)

Yesterday we had the best pleasure of hosting the ladies from the Lake Martin Garden Club. A great time was had by all, as they were treated to lunch and woodworking.

We don’t have any more dates available for private events this year. Even though we love meeting new friends and sharing the shop, we are fully booked.

We also are not selling gift certificates this Chritmas season, due to our custom furniture workload the next few months. Also, we are expecting two more little Thompson dudes in April ☺️!

We will be putting a Date Night on the calendar in January and one or two in February, around Valentine’s Day.

We also would be glad to talk to you about hosting your corporate event or private party!
