Valentines Day is a wrap and we had such a great time making new friends and visiting with old ones! We are having our Valentine’s Best Board Contest, so please take time and “like” your favorite creations (or people)! The winners get a very valuable prize (they know).

UPDATE: Sylvia reminded me that I didn’t have a deadline 😬! Let’s do Wednesday at midnight We have a good race between a few of em!

This year we changed up the way we do “Date Nights”, with dinner, and later dessert served in the showroom! We think it’s an improvement!

With a lot on our plate, we won’t be posting any more events for a few months, but we will possibly entertain private parties or corporate events. Send us an email if you’d like to do that, or get on the waiting list for future postings!

We are so blessed to end about every week with table deliveries to a beautiful new, or recently remodeled home. So often the dining table is one of the last pieces that finishes the spaces, and we love seeing the excitement when we arrive.

Walter and Leigh are the sweetest couple and we believe they picked the perfect table and matching benches to complete their gorgeous Lake Mitchell home. The Ambrosia Maple table finished in an Antique Oak stain looked perfect with the surrounding decor.

On this Friday before a COLD weekend we need some help. We took a break from building tables today and brought these slabs in and sanded them. What do we do with them? 😳. They are about 6’ tall and from one of our all time favorite trees-a Maple, off Georgia Road.

Syllie wants to just sell them as individual art pieces. (She’s usually right). I’m thinking the one with the big hole would be good with a mirror in it and standing up. And one possibilty is to lay them sideways and make a queen sized headboard.

I know some of y’all are gonna tell me to fill it with epoxy and make a six foot table 😒. Not a huge fan of spending so much money on that.

We are looking for cool ideas!

Pop Tart was lured into the photo to demonstrate size (no animals’ feelings were hurt in the making of this post).

When we were off for the holidays, we were reminiscing through photos of 2025 and ran across this one.

Although there were beautiful boards in every class, we had to vote this board the best one of the year! The Williams really thought this out and worked great together to make this come to life! Beautiful!

We are so blessed to have met so many amazing people over the years and we are excited when we think of the ones to come!

If you’re wondering, this table was our most popular design this past year. Customers love the design of the legs, and how any chairs will fit around it. Evan though it’s our most popular, you can still make it yours by deciding on size, wood type, stain color, and several other things!

“It’s just a table until souls gather around it”.

If you’re wondering, our most popular design by far this year was this table. People love the look of the legs and the fact that they don’t get in the way of any type of chair that they use. And as a new year starts, we already have a few orders for this table again!

Even though this is a popular table, you can make it your own, by choosing lumber type, stain color, and size. Several of our customers bring their chairs in so that we can match the color!

“The furniture represents the personality of the maker”.

I guess that means I don’t like throwing anything away and that I depend on my tribe. The wood shop has been cluttered for years with corners of tables that we cut off when making round tables. I’ll admit that I’ve never really had an idea of a special (not custom) piece that wasn’t inspired in some way by another piece that I saw. But after turning “scrap” corners into a base for this coffee table, I believe I finally have. I googled the photo and couldn’t find another base like this one.

This base went on a coffee table that had a thick White Oak slab from one of the historic homes in Old Coverdale. My good friend Robert Dowd, at CMT Tree Service brought me the log, and another good friend, Jimmy Albright, who owns a large mill, sawed the logs into slabs. Then another good friend, Rod Billett, tuned the CNC and told it to flatten the slab.

Blessed is an understatement! We love what we do! If you have a unique vision for a custom piece of furniture that will define your home, let’s work together to make it happen!

Another beautiful build by Neill ( sorry for the spouse brag moment ☺️) for such a special family! Laken with Temple Hill Interiors (who is awesome!) brought us the vision and he made it happen just in time for Christmas.
