I was blessed with the opportunity to be present for a birth where Pitocin was stopped. Once active labor was achieved, and the client was very satisfied her experience.

This is the best kind of care, when doctors are supportive of exploring options like this.

Stopping the Pitocin after active labor is established can help reduce cesarean rates!

It’s important to know your Midwife or OBGYN’s attitude about your birth preferences AND the hospital policies you will have to navigate 🔀 during labor and delivery.

Take the time 🕰️ to get familiar with your choices before you arrive at the hospital.

Having a doula as an extra trusted supporter in your corner can help you to stay relaxed and communicate with your birth team.

“Hospital Policy means the principles, rules, and guidelines adopted by the Hospital, which may be amended, changed, or superseded from time to time.”
