We are delighted to welcome our new Chef and Dining Services Director, Chef Michael Clark, to the Wesley Gardens family! With years of experience managing commercial kitchens, he brings both expertise and a passion for great food.

Chef Michael will be making thoughtful updates to our dining program as we work toward enhanced compliance and an even better dining experience for our residents. We are excited about the positive changes ahead and the fresh perspective he brings to our community.

🥨🍂 Oktoberfest… in September?! 🍂

That’s right! The real Oktoberfest tradition always kicks off in late September—because Germans know a good party shouldn’t wait until October. 😉🎉

We joined in the fun at Wesley Gardens with Bavarian décor, decorative beer steins, and toe-tapping polkas from Mr. Allen on his accordion. 🪗🎶 The music had us smiling, the decorations set the scene, and the “Prost!” spirit filled the air. 🍺✨

Who needs to fly to Munich when you can polka right here at home? 💃🍂

Love has a way of coming full circle. 💕 Tonight, we celebrated the Nangle’s 57th wedding anniversary with a special dinner of Captain D’s fish & chips and butterfly shrimp.

Why that meal? Because 57 years ago, over a plate of fish and chips, he asked her to be his forever. And she said yes.

All these years later, the same simple meal still carries the sweetest memory — a reminder that love doesn’t need anything fancy, just two hearts committed to one another. 🥂💍🐟

We wrapped up our Pioneer Week in the most meaningful way—gathered around quilts with Valla Bryson and Cheryl Kirkland from Anyway Sew. She shared not only the beautiful art of quilting but also the stories woven into each stitch.

From making cheese, churning butter, shelling peas to milling flour, our week was full of simple joys and timeless traditions. Ending with quilting reminded us that, just like a patchwork quilt, our community is stitched together with love, history, and connection. ❤️🧵

At Wesley Gardens Assisted Living, food is more than a meal—it’s comfort, joy, and a big part of what makes our community feel like home. We’re searching for a Dietary Manager who can bring both skill and soul to the table.

👩‍🍳 What You’ll Do:
Lead our dietary team with care and creativity
Plan and oversee delicious, nutritious menus for our residents
Ensure meals meet health and dietary needs (and taste amazing, too!)
Foster a warm, welcoming dining experience that feels like family

💡 Who You Are:
A leader who enjoys mentoring and encouraging a team
Organized, dependable, and compassionate
Passionate about senior living and creating moments of joy around the table
Experienced in food service management (assisted living/healthcare a plus)
Certified Dietary Manager
ServSafe Certified
