To lead this collaboration, we have formed The EMG Solutions Institute, a new entity that will now manage, promote, and execute RMU’s clinical electrophysiology continuing education and the prestigious Annual ENMG Symposium, which is entering its 37th year as the premier destination for physical therapists in the electrodiagnostic field. For over 30 years, RMU has set the standard with its Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced ENMG courses.

EMG Partner Spotlight: Dr. Brian Carter, MD from The Orthopaedic Center (TOC)

With a specialized focus on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Brian Carter is dedicated to the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of soft tissue, neuromuscular, and musculoskeletal disorders. Whether addressing chronic neck and back pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, or sports injuries, Dr. Carter provides expert care tailored to each patient’s unique rehabilitation needs.

Dr. Carter earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine after completing his undergraduate studies in Biology at Florida State University. He served as chief resident during his residency at the University of Virginia and completed a specialized fellowship at the Non-Surgical Orthopaedic and Spine Center in Marietta, Georgia.

Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Carter brings advanced expertise to his role as the current TOC Physical Therapy Medical Director. He holds specialized training in spinal injections as well as diagnostic tools like EMGs and nerve conduction studies.
