Help to raise senior citizen awareness of common scams. Scammers often target seniors because they are trusting and have money. Talk with the seniors in your life about taking safety precautions such as not answering the phone unless you recognize the name or number, and not responding to random texts or emails. Even checks can be tampered with, so encourage seniors to look over their account regularly and contact their bank if there has been any suspicious activity.

With the holidays behind us and cold months still ahead, seasonal depression can be a very real struggle for many people. Here are some things you can do to help combat the sadness you may be feeling this time of year.

1. If you live in a place with especially dark and gloomy winters a light therapy lamp can be very beneficial for your body and mind.
2. Lean into it! Make everything as cozy as possible! Light candles, wear bathrobes, take hot baths. You may actually find you enjoy the cold winter months!
3. Bundle up and get outside! Just because it's cold doesn't mean you can’t still take short walks. The fresh air will definitely help your mood!
4. See friends and family! Having social events and get togethers to look forward to will help keep you from getting lonely.

For most healthy children and adults RSV symptoms appear as just a common cold. This is why it is extremely important to take your sickness seriously and avoid being around older people when experiencing cold-like symptoms! Providing service in the community since 2011, Answered Prayer Home Care Service is a locally owned home care agency dedicated to offering trusted in-home care services. The term Home Care can reflect a wide range of supportive services that are conducted for the purpose of enabling people to live in their own homes and communities.

Our goal is to provide assistance so our clients can lead dignified, independent lifestyles in the comfort and safety of their homes.
