Today we would like to introduce one of our therapists working with us at Afangideh Therapy!

Jonathan Gilbert is a pre-licensed mental health professional located in Huntsville, Alabama. He prefers a warmer, more inviting counseling style in order to meet each client where he or she currently is and support them while they are trying to go on their mental health journey. Gilbert's approach to psychotherapy combines cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. He believes that clients will benefit from an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to the complexities of their lives and their psychological makeup.

Some of Gilbert's specializations include: issues relating to po*******hy, online parasocial relationships, men's mental health issues, trauma, and substance abuse. He has also been trained to treat generalized anxiety, depression, anger management, and OCD in adolescents and adults.

Gilbert states, “Counseling has both benefits and risks. Benefits for people who undertake counseling often include a reduction in feelings of distress, more satisfying relationships, and increased clarity and resolution of specific problems. Growth nearly always brings change, and sometimes change (even positive change) causes stress.”

He is available online only and is accepting new clients! If you have any questions or to get the help you need or to set up an appointment with Jonathan, call us at 334.219.6539 or visit our website www.thealabamatherapist.com to get the help you need today!
