Free Form Therapeutic Massage

Free Form Therapeutic Massage Free Form Therapeutic Massage uses traditional and non traditional massage techniques to provide a holistic treatment approach for optimal health.

The name Free Form Therapeutic Massage came to fruition through the variety of techniques used throughout a treatment session. The body is composed of a multitude of systems so why treat it with one approach? When all the systems are working in concordance, we feel better, think more clearly, have more energy and strength, experience less pain, have a brighter outlook and so forth. The philosophy of Free Form is to see the individual as a whole and not simply as their problem areas. From the first moment I lay my hands on someone I sense their energy and am drawn to their true areas of need. My connection with the individual is one of my most precious and important stages of treatment. Throughout the session, I am Free to incorporate what I feel the body needs and how best to achieve the goals of the treatment. I have had training in Eastern and Western approaches/theories of massage and energy, which I make a point to project into each experience. Free Form Therapeutic Massage promotes a harmonious and trusting relationship between therapist and client, so continued treatment is preferred in order for the therapeutic effects to ingrain and be expressed. Let me show you the world beyond a traditional massage - your body, mind and soul will thank you and repay you!

Hyperlordosis isn’t just about how your lower back looks — it’s about how your body is organizing itself against gravity.

When the lumbar curve is exaggerated, it often comes with:
• Increased tension in the lower back
• Reduced core and glute contribution
• Fatigue from constantly “holding” posture instead of supporting it

One useful approach is posture calibration — briefly resetting your alignment so your body remembers what neutral actually feels like.

Simple cues that help:
• Use a wall to stack your head, rib cage, and pelvis
• Gently press the back of your head into the wall while keeping your gaze level
• Reach the arms overhead and down to encourage full-body awareness
• Repeat with control, focusing on position rather than force

Doing this throughout the day builds awareness and reinforces better habits, especially when you notice yourself drifting into an uneven posture. Over time, these small recalibrations make it easier to maintain a healthier spinal position without constant effort.

Come along with me as I head into my 10th year of business. I will be posting a daily excerpt from a book gifted to me by a dear client, “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff Every Day, 365 simple ways to live a life you love” by Richard & Kristen Carlson.
I’m excited to see how these daily reminders impact my personal and professional intentions throughout the year. And who knows, one of these could even resonate with a follower!

Lots of great guesses for my finish time, I wish I could have run faster (maybe next time I’ll actually train for it🤪)
Finished in 2hrs 26mins
And with a guess of 2hrs 30min and 15sec, two 60min massages goes to…… Kate Levesque!
Thank you for all the well wishes and guesses to keep me accountable, it’s an amazing feeling to know I can truly push myself!

It’s getting there….
Insulation all replaced, experimented with some tile adhesives, and rehung the drop ceiling. For now the dirty work is over, and the true DIY process can commence.
