Yogabilities

Yogabilities adapted Yoga classes for individuals with special needs Sessions are led by Melinda Coppola, owner and founder of Spectrum Yoga.

Yoga practice is a wonderful way to gently increase strength, flexibility and lung capacity while improving balance and body awareness. Yogabilities group and individual sessions offer a modified approach for those with developmental and other differences who benefit from a slower pace and instruction tailored to different learning styles. Melinda is a certified and experienced Yoga teacher and Yoga Therapist who is also the mother of a young adult on the Autism Spectrum. Melinda is available to consult with educators and other professionals who wish to integrate Yoga techniques into their teaching and healing modalities with special populations.

Another series has wrapped up at LES (Lifeworks Employment Services) in Norwood. I'm so honored to be able to share the gifts of Yoga with my students. When they are in final relaxation and the room gets quiet, it's a kind of magic that is hard to express in a post.
