BJHCHS will be participating in upcoming Child Abuse Prevention Festival events.

Join us on April 23 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Ridgeland Medical Center and on April 25 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Varnville Medical Center.

Stop by to learn about available resources and support child abuse prevention efforts in our area.

These family-friendly events will include food, games, giveaways, education, and community resources for all to enjoy.

Congratulations to our Parents as Teachers Team for their recent invite and trip to Washington, D.C.

Our Parents as Teachers team was invited to attend the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Roundtable in Washington, DC. The event brought together leaders and advocates from across the country to discuss the impact of home visiting programs and the importance of supporting families during the earliest years of a child’s life.

We are proud of our team for representing our organization and for continuing to advocate for policies that strengthen families, promote healthy development, and support parents in our communities.

As the NACHC 2026 Policy and Issues Forum continues, members of the BJHCHS leadership team had the opportunity to meet with Congressman James Clyburn to advocate for the patients and communities we serve.

They shared the impact community health centers have on access to affordable, quality care across our region.
