One thing no one talks about when going is the number of times you’ll have a mystery jar of sauce/dip/dressing stashed in your fridge. definitely tastes better and has fewer mystery ingredients…assuming you can remember what you put in the jar. 🫣 Do you make your own dressings and dips?

It’s the beginning of storm season where I live, and there are lots of us who are a little antsy when the ⛈️💨 clouds come rolling in. This is a great combo for soothing that nervous Nellie in your home— anecdotal evidence compares the effect to that of a popular med that you’d recognize if I were allowed to mention it. A drop of each of these in your cupped hands and inhaled is super helpful. Need some? Reach out— I will help you get them!

I talk a looooot about food, but these tools are just as big a part of my holistic practice and lifestyle. Every time I turn around lately, someone is sick. I’m so thankful to have what we need in our house when it’s one of mine…or a neighbor. Do you have natural tools you grab to fight the junk? What’s your go-to?

Did your new year's resolution include eating more vegetables? I can't emphasize this enough: roast those veggies. Trays of them. Drizzle with avocado or coconut oil, lavish them with herbs and a good dose of salt & pepper, and pop them in the oven at 400 until they are tender inside and slightly crispy outside.

Save what you don't eat immediately and use them to add nutrition to every 👏 dish 👏 you make until they're gone. Spaghetti? Throw some roasted veggies in your sauce. Quesadillas? Veggies. Scrambled eggs? Toss 'em in.

I'm walking through a short-term plant-based reset with someone close to me, and here are convos we've had so far that might be helpful if you're navigating healthy changes this year:

❤ 1- it gets better. Change is hard. A new way of eating, moving, drinking will feel hard/boring/not worth it at first. Keep going. This is a mind over matter thing, and you'll find new foods/activities/drinks you enjoy about this new way. Trust me.
❤ 2- remember why you started. You wanted more energy, better digestion, less weight, less bloat, better sleep, better whatever. THAT IS STILL REASON TO KEEP GOING. You didn't have those things in the old way, so going back definitely won't get you what you want.

I'm sure there will be more to share along the way!

Do your new year's resolutions include eating more fruit? May I suggest whipping up a batch of this super easy, yummy, whole food Date Caramel Dip? So delish with green apples.

A handful of dates, a enough of a splash of milk to make the blender go, a little vanilla, and a sprinkle of salt makes this lovely little dip.

Blend until smooth and store in a sealed container until it's gone. A week maybe? Mine never lasts that long. ❤
