🕊️Devastated to read that Dr Guy Riekeman has passed.

Guy was one the most influential chiropractic educators in our time. He had a way of explaining chiropractic and health that revolutionized our profession.

His passion for film brought multimedia to chiropractic practices. under his leadership thousands of chiropractors their familes and staff learned how to communicate the big story of chiropractic to our patients.

🚦Wait an extra second or two when the light turns green. Someone might blow through on a yellowy-orangey/reddish light 🤬

🚙…………🚗 Keep extra space in front of you and keep an eye out in your rear view mirror 👀

🚘 On the freeway drive in the middle lanes. This gives you more options. Also avoid left and right lanes due to puddling which could cause aquaplaning 💦

❓ Questions I get…

One of the most common questions I hear is “why can’t you just suggest me once and then I’m fixed?”

✅ it would be nice if we could just adjust you once and then your problem is gone, but that’s just not how the body works.

If you have a simple misalignment and have not suffered a trauma or have chronic conditions like arthritis and you just wake up or develop a catch in your neck or back then sometimes one adjustment will do it.

Often times, however, people of years of abuse and abuse on their spine and cannot expect the body to recover after just one adjustment. It’s not a miracle or magic.

Initially adjustments are close together to regain mobility and stimulate the nervous system to reset itself. Once you’ve gotten over the initial acute painful stage then visits are spread out over longer and longer periods of time.

The number and frequency of visits is totally unique to each patient. And depends on their lifestyle past trauma and their bodies response to care care.

My job is to get you out of pain as soon as possible and with the fewest visits and least cost. After that, it’s up to you to maintain your spine and if you choose to come back in periodically to keep it working well. I do not push long-term plans on people. I believe everybody should make the decisions on their healthcare that is best for them.
