At The Arrow House, Art Therapy is more than just a creative outlet — it's a powerful tool for healing. Many of the teens who come through our doors carry emotional pain that words alone can’t express. Art Therapy helps our residents reconnect with themselves, regulate overwhelming feelings, and build a stronger sense of identity. It encourages self-expression without judgment and often gives voice to trauma, anxiety, grief, or hope — things that may feel too big or too confusing to articulate verbally. Our trauma-informed approach to art therapy isn’t about creating “good” art. It’s about creating space. Space to feel. To reflect. To be seen. And, most importantly, to heal.
