Chronic Achilles tendon injury is one of the most common injuries with sports that require running and jumping!
It’s can occur as a result of repetitive trauma or from a sudden forceful contraction resulting in injury to the tendon. Some other factors that can cause this may include...
👉🏼 A sudden increase in intensity or amount of training.
👉🏼 Mal-alignment/Imbalances or Poor Biomechanics.
👉🏼 IMPROPER TRAINING
👉🏼 Etc.
When these factors are ignored, it can cause major injuries to the tendon!

How to heal faster from this:
⠀⠀
* Avoid running or excessive loading on that tendon.
* PRICE - Protect, Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate
* Warm water soak+Epsom salt+baking soda to relieve pain, improve circulation, reduce swelling and stiffness.
* NSAIDS - if needed to reduce inflammation.
*** After 2-3 weeks ***
* Strengthening and stretching exercises for achilles tendon.
* Improve ankle and big toe flexibility for better foot mechanics.
* Strengthen foot muscles.
* Strengthen the core and hip muscles for proximal stability.
* Massage Therapy - cross friction massage to breakup adhesions.

The plantar muscles just like all muscle are important, especially in sports! Whether you’re a dancer, gymnast, runner, or office athlete 👨‍💻, these muscle have a big affect on how our bodies feel & move.

✨ When there is poor training or no treatment this can lead to minor-major injuries. SOME injuries may include...
🚨 Increased activity without proper conditioning and flexibility can cause chronic inflammation in the foot and ankle (plantar fasciitis).
🚨 Hypermobility from loose ligaments can cause high levels of tension, commonly the cause and effect of flat feet.
🚨 Hypomobility from muscle restriction reduces circulation and can entrap nerves in the bottom of the foot. This is mimicked by wearing tight shoes and can have the same effect.

Our Governor & The California Massage Therapy Council has NOT approved Certified Massage Therapist to work yet.
I understand any frustration you may have, but I am not willing to risk my certification and business. Let’s be patience together as we wait for the approval from the governor to allow certified massage therapist to work again.
ANY illegal proposals will be denied as I am a Professional in this field. I do miss my clients and apologize for this inconvenience. I am also anxious to get back to work, however, the right thing to do is wait for the approval. Thank you for your time.

❄️ It is a dual-action one because it uses both ice and massage!
Massaging the plantar fascia can provide relief by stimulating blood flow to the area. Like stretching, it helps relax the muscles.

1. A Frozen Juice Can or a Frozen Water Bottle.
~ If it’s too cold for you to bear, you can wear socks to put a layer between you and the ice. If it’s still too much, try a tennis ball to massage and stretch the bottom of your foot.

~ Difficulty reaching up behind the back, pain with overhead use of the arm and weakness of shoulder muscles.
There are two categories of impingements, Structural & Functional.

👉🏼 Types of Structural Impingement - bony growth or soft tissue inflammation narrowing space, migration of the humoral head caused by weak rotator cuff muscles.
👉🏼 Types of Functional Impingement - Overhead athletes such as baseball players due to biomechanics may get microtrauma causing inflammation and tendinitis.
