The Bem-te-vi bird is a messenger of joy. Its name means "I saw you well" and "I saw you happy" in Portuguese.

In Brazilian folk spirituality, its song is believed to be a sign of good luck, a reminder to live joyfully in the present.

Hearing it at dawn symbolizes prosperity, spiritual renewal, hope, and the prospect of new opportunities.

Jungle Calling to Generous Hearts!

A fire in the Brazilian Amazon destroyed the sacred structure that served as a house of prayer for the Boa Vista Village. The Maloka is a vital space for the Huni Kuin people to honor traditions, cultural events and kids' education.

We are very moved by the news because we know that it took a lot of time, effort, energy, resources and dedication to build this space and it was destroyed 4 days before the annual festival.

This indigenous territory of the High Jordâo RIver is in the State of Ace. An extremely isolated area with no road access, so deep in the Jungle that the only way to reach is via Air Taxi; followed by several hours by boat.

The community is self-reliant receiving minimal support from the Government.

Please help us in rebuilding the Maloka, the heart symbol of the Huni kuin people and to support the Tribes. Any amount you can give will make a significant difference.

La Selva llamando a Corazones Generosos

Un incendio en la Amazonia brasileña destruyó la estructura sagrada que servía como casa de oración para la aldea de Boa Vista. La Maloka es un espacio vital para que el pueblo Huni Kuin honre sus tradiciones, los eventos culturales y la educación de los niños.

Estamos muy conmovidos por la noticia porque sabemos que se necesitó mucho tiempo, esfuerzo, energía, recursos y dedicación para construir este espacio y quedó destruido 4 días antes de su festival anual.

Este territorio indígena del Alto Río Jordâo se encuentra en el Estado de Ace. Una zona extremadamente aislada sin acceso por carretera, tan en lo profundo de la selva que la única forma de llegar es a través de un taxi aéreo; seguido de varias horas en lancha.

La comunidad es autosuficiente y recibe lo mínimo del Gobierno.

Por favor, ayúdenos a apoyar en la reconstrucción de la Maloka; símbolo del corazón del pueblo Huni Kuin y otras tribus. Cualquier cantidad que puedas dar hará una gran diferencia.
