Falck Orange County’s Region A team had a great time connecting with the community through a Stop the Bleed workshop with Cub Scout Pack 775 in Yorba Linda.

Operations Manager Alfredo Hernandez, FTO Nicholas Sanchez, and EMTs Yaritza Millan and John Dupree led the training, giving the scouts hands-on experience in bleeding control techniques. They also got the chance to tour one of our ambulances and learn more about what we do.

Thank you to Cub Scout Pack 775 for having us, it is always an honor to share lifesaving skills with the next generation.

Falck Orange County had the honor of meeting with Boy Scout Troop 1775 at Friends Christian Middle School and Cub Scout Troop 775 at Friends Christian Elementary School.

Together, we reflected on the significance of September 11th, why it remains an important day of remembrance, and paid tribute by raising the flags at both schools and lowering them to half-staff in honor of the lives lost.

We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside the next generation in remembering, honoring, and teaching the importance of unity and resilience.

It is easy to overlook how much goes into a single call, but dispatchers carry the weight of every unit and every dispatch decision. Inspired by his sister’s journey into medicine, Ryan found his place on the dispatch floor, where strategy meets service. From long hours of training to high-pressure coordination, his pride lies in the people beside him and the teamwork that makes the system work better.

Innovation in EMS Award Winner. Falck Orange County, is proud to be recognized for our Sensory Support program for neurodiverse and autistic patients.

With 1 in 22 children in California now diagnosed with autism, we saw the need for EMS-specific training and tools to provide better care. By adapting law enforcement’s INTERAC curriculum, our EMTs received hands-on training in autism recognition, communication strategies, and de-escalation.

The program also equips our units with Sensory Support Bags, including headphones, sunglasses, fidget tools, puppets, and communication boards, helping reduce stress and improve communication during emergency encounters.

The impact is clear: patients feel calmer and safer, and our clinicians are more confident in delivering compassionate care. 💙
