Now open! We are excited to announce the opening of a new UCI Health Ear, Nose, and Throat clinic to serve our North Orange County population, located in the city of Brea. This shared space between the Departments of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences features 18 exam rooms. Nine rooms are fully dedicated to ear, nose, and throat patients with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.

Our team is dedicated to providing cutting-edge, personalized care for patients in the areas of advanced diagnostics, general ENT, rhinology, laryngology, neurotology, head & neck surgery, sleep surgery, and audiology.

1. Skip the Q-Tips – They push wax deeper and increase the risk of infection.
2. Guard against loud noise – Wear earplugs at concerts or when using power tools.
3. Support your hearing from the inside – If you’re 40+, take a daily multivitamin with vitamins A, C & E to help slow age-related hearing loss.
4. Keep blood pressure & blood sugar in check – These conditions can speed up hearing loss.
5. Don’t smoke – Smoking accelerates hearing damage.

Stapedectomy: removal of the stapes bone
Stapedotomy (used in 95%+ of cases today): creating a tiny hole for placing a prosthesis

Both achieve similar hearing results, but Stapedotomy is generally considered safer and less invasive.
