Please Practice Safety Guidelines!
The safest way to enjoy fireworks is to attend a professional display from a safe distance and wear protective eye wear. If you are handling fireworks, always wear safety glasses or goggles, and ensure a safe distance from others, especially children. Even with legal fireworks, eye injuries can occur, so caution is essential.
Fireworks Safety Tips:
Attend professional displays:
The safest way to enjoy fireworks is to watch a professionally managed show.
Wear protective eye wear:
If you are near fireworks, wear safety glasses, goggles, or a face shield to protect your eyes from debris and sparks.
Maintain a safe distance:
Stay at least 500 feet away from where fireworks are being launched.
Follow local laws and regulations:
Check and adhere to any restrictions on fireworks use in your area,
Always supervise children, never allow children to handle fireworks, including sparklers, which can reach extremely high temperatures.

The Eye Center will close Friday May 23rd at 6pm and Reopen Tuesday May 27th at 8am.

Memorial Day is an American holiday on the last Monday of May. It honors fallen service members of the U.S. military. While most know Memorial Day is a day of remembrance, many don’t know its exact history, importance, or how to properly pay tribute.

Rather than “Happy Memorial Day,” say something like “Have a meaningful Memorial Day.”

It’s also not appropriate to thank a service member for their service on this day, as it is a day for remembering and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
