Progress doesn’t arrive. It’s revealed.

Sometimes, you don’t realize it’s happening until you step back and see what’s standing.

A few weeks ago, this was just concrete.
Then framing.
Now, walls.
Hallways.
Light pouring through places that used to be empty.

Still, not finished — but evolving in due time.
You can feel it.
It’s becoming.

There’s a rhythm to building.
A discipline in trusting what isn’t visible yet.
You measure.
You return.
You place the next piece.

Not because you’re in a hurry, but because you know what you’re building deserves your patience.

We know this kind of progress well — with our learners, it’s measured in moments.

We show up each day, laying the foundation.
We teach.
We wait.
We notice.

Because what’s rising here?
It’s not just a structure.
It’s a reflection —
of how every meaningful thing comes to life in due time.

With care and intention.
With time.
And with the unshakable belief that what’s growing is already good.

This is where the walls will go.

Because we believe children shouldn’t have to bend to fit the room.
The room should rise to meet the child.

We’ve listened — to parents, to children, to every story that began with “we just want a place where they’ll be understood.”

So we started building.
Not just with wood and steel, but with conviction.
With every story you trusted us to hold.

This is where the walls will go.

Not to enforce quiet, but to hold the noise of childhood in all its beautiful, messy forms.

Walls that stretch wide for pacing feet and flapping hands.
Walls that echo with laughter, stim sounds, music, movement, and calm.

This is where the walls will go.
To frame rooms where difference is expected — not tolerated, but embraced.
Where learning doesn’t have a timeline.
Where communication doesn’t need to be spoken to be heard.

This is where the walls will go.

To create space where children can be curious without consequence.
Messy without shame.
Themselves without fear.

We aren’t just building a center.
We’re building a response.
To every story we’ve heard.
To every unmet need.

This is where THE walls will go.

Not to keep anyone out —
But to say, you’re safe here. Stay.
And as each beam rises, we remember:

And soon, the doors will open.
Behind them? Something we’ve all been waiting for:

The Developmental Rooms ✨

Designed to mimic natural environments, promoting independent living and practical life skills for ALL children.

Plenty of area for child-led floor play, built-in (interactive) sensory rich areas + wheelchair accessible counter space.

Each room is equipped with a functional play kitchen + a self-serve, allergen friendly snack area available to the learners for the duration of their session (we practice intuitive eating!).

Some of our other favorite features include non-stimulating colors/patterns, plenty of natural light and lots of plants to practice taking care of our environment 🌱

There’s so much more to be said about each room, but we’re looking forward to all of you finally getting the chance to explore them for yourselves!!

We offer 2,3 and 5 day options. Limited openings available. Pre-registration is linked in our bio! ✨

Hey! We’re Bri & Jessica, neurodivergent educators with a combined 25+ years of educational leadership and delivery of naturalistic therapy services for children & families. We hold a strong belief that every child deserves equitable, accessible and high-quality learning opportunities and we intend to do our part in moving the future toward inclusivity.

Indie Learning Co. started as a small initiative to help children and families maintain their learning goals through the Covid-19 pandemic. We noticed that our students, primarily Autistic and disabled children, were left without crucial learning supports as traditional schools and therapeutic services shut down due to the pandemic. We began making adapted home learning kits, filled with hand-made books, activities and visual supports that families could use to build skills at home.

As we transitioned back to the clinic setting in 2021, we grew to recognize the gaps that traditional educational and therapeutic services had in serving children with diverse learning needs. We attempted to make meaningful change within our roles, but ultimately grew to recognize that our values were severely misaligned with the practices of our field. In 2022, we decided to step away from the field and form an independent learning company that embodied our values.

To all who have supported us on this journey thus far, THANK YOU. To those who’ve just joined us, welcome. As we transition into the next phase of Indie, we look forward to connecting with our ever-growing community and sharing our passion and purpose with you all 🤎
