Here are my top tips as a health and wellness enthusiast-to-practitioner for almost 10 years after going from constant stomach aches, healing/curing my chronic diseases (colitis & interstitial cystitis), social anxiety (YEP! gut related), foggy thinking, chronic constipation, and more..
💫
Tip #1- Protocols are a great foundation and starting point. I recommend the .nutrition Gut Reset Protocol and you can use my code NOUVEAUELAN for a discount!!
❤️
Tip #2- Eat fermented foods & drinks like milk kefir (you can make your own, I've done it! Just buy a culture on Amazon), water kefir(sold at Target its sooo yummy), coconut kefir, raw milk has some probiotics, kimchi, saurkraut (DON'T heat it, that kills the probiotics), tempeh, miso, and pickles. These foods have naturally occurring probiotics in them.
🔥
Tip #3- Overly processed foods strip our minerals and feed bacteria that could throw our body out of balance. Limit these, don't throw them out completely. Soda is fun for birthday parties but not every day for every meal!
👏
Tip #4- Avoid excess stress because it wreaks havoc on our gut and hormones. Eustress is good, and some distress but excess distress harms our body in many different ways. Work with me 1:1 if you want to learn ways to lower stress. Also try Zuma Nutritions Stress Protocol and use my discount code NOUVEAUELAN if you want!
😊
Tip #5- Consume prebiotic-rich food and drinks like prebiotic sodas (they're being sold at all big stores now). I personally love the Ollipop Strawberry soda. Prebiotic-rich foods are inulin, artichokes, and anything rich in fiber, especially apples.
🎉
Tip #6- Chew your dang food, scarfing it down depletes your digestive process of necessary enzymes for breaking down the food for nutrients and energy.
💯
Tip #7- Eat slower and smaller. Large meals are harder to digest and slow down the metabolism. Take your time with meals. Wait 5 minutes after your first serving to see if you're actually hungry for seconds.
🥰
Tip #8- Hydration is key. Opt for nutrient-dense drinks.
💦
Tip #9- Opt for glycine in the form of organ meats, gummies made from real gelatin, drink bone both, and/or take glycine supplements.
