Expertise doesn’t stay behind a desk. True care requires a commitment to constant learning and a global perspective. We are proud of our team members who share their knowledge to support healthcare initiatives across the globe, including recent efforts to benefit a rural hospital in India. 🌎

When we engage with the broader medical community, we bring those insights back to the families we serve here at home. It ensures our approach remains focused on what truly matters: providing the highest level of dignity and specialized support for every individual.

You deserve the final word on your care. 💜

Only about 1 in 3 adults has an advance care plan in place, which means loved ones are often forced to guess medical wishes during a crisis. Planning ahead isn't about giving up hope; it’s about ensuring your care reflects what matters most to you.

National Healthcare Decisions Day is April 16. Now is the perfect time to start the conversation, choose a trusted decision maker, and put your wishes in writing.

Last week, we gathered to remember. 💜

Our Celebration of Life brought together families, friends, and staff to honor the patients we've had the privilege of caring for. It was a morning of quiet reflection, candle lighting, and the kind of connection that words don't always capture.

Moments like these remind us that the people we lose leave something behind: in the people who loved them, and in us.

Grief doesn't end when care does. Neither does our support.

We're honored to walk alongside families not just during service, but in the weeks and months that follow.🕯️

Why is music such a vital part of hospice care? 🎶

In honor of World Music Therapy Week, we’re highlighting the clinical and emotional benefits of music for those navigating a life-limiting illness. Music therapy isn't just about entertainment, it's a specialized tool used to ease distress, improve mood, and facilitate meaningful connection between patients and their loved ones.

At Faith Hospice, we prioritize "whole-person" care. This means looking beyond physical symptoms to support the emotional and spiritual well-being of every individual. Music provides a steady, comforting presence that helps our patients find peace and dignity in the comfort of their own homes. 🌵

What does "health for all" mean in hospice care? 🌍

For World Health Day, we are reflecting on the values that define true health at every stage of life. In our community, health for all means that every individual has access to specialized care that honors their personal preferences and dignity.

Hospice isn't a departure from health. It is a commitment to a different kind of wellness: one that prioritizes comfort, peace of mind, and quality of life. We are proud to support the Phoenix healthcare network by providing an expert, steady presence for the patients and families we serve.

Celebrate National Volunteer Month with Faith Hospice 💜

This April, we are joining the national conversation to recognize the volunteers who dedicate their time, talent, and compassion to support others.

At Faith Hospice, we see firsthand that volunteers are at the very heart of hospice. Our volunteers play an essential role in providing comfort and presence to the patients and families we serve throughout the Phoenix area. From providing soothing music therapy and hosting "spa day" visits to offering companionship for a veteran or sharing a specialized talent, their dedication ensures that our care remains centered on the human connection.

Honoring our veterans. 🇺🇸

Last week, we hosted our first Vet to Vet Café at Ahwatukee Post Acute. Our team gathered to show our gratitude and appreciation for the local Vietnam veteran community in honor of Vietnam Veterans Day.

The afternoon included a catered lunch and individual pinning ceremonies for the veterans in attendance. These moments of recognition are a small way for us to say thank you for the service and sacrifice of those who have served.

It was a privilege to spend time hearing their stories. We look forward to continuing these cafés as a way to support and connect with our veteran community.

Hospice care is a collaborative effort. This National Doctors' Day, we are honoring the vital role our physicians play in how we care for our community. 🩺

Beyond their clinical expertise, our doctors prioritize comfort, clarity, and peace of mind for every family they serve. By collaborating with our entire team and our community partners across the Phoenix area, they ensure that patient comfort and dignity always come first.

Thank you to the doctors who lead with skill and a steady presence. 🤝

Strengthening our care for those who served. 🇺🇸

Continuing our commitment to the We Honor Veterans program, our team gathered for a dedicated education session yesterday. We were grateful to have David, one of our veteran volunteers, share his insight into the unique needs and end-of-life concerns facing those who have served.

From specialized training to a team-wide knowledge quiz, these moments of learning help us show up with the understanding and respect our veteran community deserves.

A touch of green across the team. ☘️

Yesterday, our team joined in on St. Patrick’s Day, taking a moment to connect and share a bit of fun throughout the day. These moments may be simple, but they reflect the strong sense of community that carries into the care we provide every day in the Phoenix area. 🌵

Our team recently attended the ACMA Arizona Chapter Conference, an event dedicated to the social workers and case management professionals who support families across our state. 🌵

For Natasha and Ciara, the takeaway was clear: hospice care is a collaborative effort. Connecting with colleagues across the Phoenix area is a vital reminder that we are all working toward the same goal. We are here to improve the lives of those we serve.

A special thank you to Cameron Svendsen for his work in bringing these organizations together. We believe that when we share ideas and strengthen these professional relationships, our patients and their families are the ones who benefit most.
