Your 30s are this great time where you're finally old enough to be taken seriously, but suddenly, everything starts to hurt, and your knee, hip or back cracks when you stand up.

Joint issues may already be settling in, especially if you have previous injuries, repetitive stress, obesity or are genetically predisposed.

Follow the advice of Physical Therapist Chris Hanson for a few exercises to keep your joints moving. If you don't take protective action, joint replacement surgery could be your future, but it doesn't have to be. Physical therapists can help you proactively start care for smooth sailing as you enter your 40s and 50s.

At six months postpartum, you don't want to still appear pregnant.

But that's what Bailey Bradshaw thought she looked like due to ab separation, a condition that can occur during pregnancy when the two vertical muscles of the abdomen stretch and separate. Additionally, due to complications, her baby was born via C-section, causing damage to Bailey's bladder and leading to a loss of sensation.

Typically, Bailey enjoys going outside, exercising and spending time with her family, but she felt self-conscious about her image. She was worried people might think she was pregnant again. That's when she turned to CoreVia Pelvic Health Physical Therapist Julie Broback.

Right away, she told Julie about her delivery, emphasizing she wanted her body back and to feel good about herself again.

Bailey and Julie have been working on exercises and breathing techniques to help Bailey's muscles return to normal. She began to feel her body responding, noticing muscles she had never used before.

"I feel I have reached a turning point in my postpartum journey," Bailey shared. "Not only feeling a difference in my body, but seeing it as well."

Bailey's goals are within reach. She's regained confidence and can wear jeans without thinking that she looks pregnant.

But, take it from everyone you know in their 30s and beyond, you don't want to be one sneeze, bend or quick turn away from back pain. Physical Therapist Aaron Megazzi demonstrates two easy moves to help build strength and flexibility.

Physical therapists are here to help identify imbalances and improper mechanics that could cause trouble down the road. Get started now to set the stage for resilience in your future.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. More than half of the people diagnosed with breast cancer will experience side effects following treatment.

Our ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation program can help patients prepare for treatment and manage side effects afterward so they can live well beyond cancer.

Early detection is critical, but so is support throughout the journey. You don't have to face recovery alone.
