If you are struggling to start your week, try the 2-minute rule. Pick a task on your to-do list and commit to spending 2 minutes on it today.
While starting with 2 minutes, you might find motivation to extend this to 5, 10, or even 20 minutes.
Oftentimes, simply getting going on a project or task is the hardest step. Launching yourself into the project by committing to a 2-minute start time might help lead you in the right direction.

One of the most valuable tools we can learn is emotional regulation. Learning to take some time to sit with our emotions and truly understand them before acting on them. This can prevent us from acting impulsively in our emotional mind, and allow us to see all sides of our situations and emotions before making decisions. This creates space for deeper thoughts, deeper connections, greater control of our emotions, and improvements in our relationships. When you are having a rough start to your day, try taking it one step at a time. First step, launch yourself out of bed. Next step, get dressed for the day.

Focusing on each step individually helps you to build momentum, which eventually leads to forward movement.
