NATIVE HEALTH provides many health programs, including primary medical, dental, behavioral health.

At NATIVE HEALTH, we strive to provide the best health care available for urban American Indians, Alaska Natives, and other individuals who generally experience barriers to holistic, patient-centered, culturally sensitive health and wellness services. NATIVE HEALTH currently provides a wide range of services including Primary Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, WIC (available at four sites), and Community Health and Wellness programs. In 2022, over 20,000 individuals benefited from our services, which resulted in more than 100,000 visits. All of NATIVE HEALTH’s clinics are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). NATIVE HEALTH has been accepted as a provider for most private insurance and state of Arizona Medicaid (AHCCCS) plans. Postings of community events and resources are provided to the community as a resource and are NOT endorsed by NATIVE HEALTH.

Today's 2nd Annual Home Visiting Ice Cream Social at NATIVE HEALTH Central was cool, yummy and fun! Families enjoyed ice cream and dill pickle slushies while learning about NATIVE HEALTH's Home Visiting Programs.

Attention High School students! Sharing info from Phoenix Indian Center on their Youth Policy Advocacy 101 Program. This is for Indigenous high school students who are interested in policy, advocacy, government systems, and for making lasting change. This Workshop will be Saturday, September 6, at Phoenix Indian Center from 9:30 am-12:30 pm. Lunch will be provided. The first 20 registered participants to complete the workshop will receive a Dutch Bros gift card. Phoenix Indian Center is located at 4041 N. Central Avenue, Building B (next to NATIVE HEALTH), at the corner of Central and Indian School.

Attendees will:
◼️Understand what policy advocacy is & practical examples
◼️Learn forms of advocacy strategies & how to engage with policymakers; Review the structure of government & the impact policy advocates can have at each level.

Sharing info from the Heard Museum on their Grand Time Together in honor of Grandparents Day, Sunday, September 7, from 10 am-2 pm, and honor grandparents and make memories together. At Grand Time Together, kids can race through an obstacle course, read to a bunny rabbit, or make art to take home. This special event is meant to honor grandparents and foster intergenerational connections through a day of fun, learning, and creativity. For families with all age children.

Sharing info from the Hubbell Trading Post's 4th Annual Harvest Festival, Saturday, September 13, 8 am-3 pm. This event will include educational experience, featuring educational demonstrations, a farmers’ market, arts & craft, family activities, raffle prizes, an introduction barter blanket and a blue corn ribbon contest for all ages! (Enter your veggies, corn, squash, watermelon & chili from your garden).

All participants must register onsite, with the requirement that food handlers be current to sell baked goods. Registration is free, and vendors are expected to provide their own canopy, table, and chairs. Space will be on first come, first serve basis.

This program offers merit-based scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 annually to Native American students. The focus is on supporting Bachelor degree or higher students in fields related to economic development for tribes, such as science, education, business, and computers.
