Maryclaire has dedicated her career to supporting families across a variety of settings—from her early work as a middle school teacher to roles in non-profit organizations, and now as a mental health therapist. An Arizona native, she enjoys hiking, gardening, yoga, traveling, and searching for the best taco spots in the Valley.🌵 She especially loves spending time in the desert, often heading out on backpacking trips with her family, friends, and two dogs. Maryclaire feels honored to work with so many inspiring families in her practice.

Meet Mirna, a dedicated licensed clinical social worker with a strong background in early childhood development and mental health. Her work spans a variety of settings—from non-profits to inpatient psychiatric care—where she has helped clients navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges with compassion and expertise. Outside of the therapy room, she enjoys traveling, beach days, snowboarding, game nights, escape rooms, catching a good comedy show, and spending time with her friends, family, and pup. Meet Dr. Sia Sipsas-Herrmann, one of our co-founders!⭐️
Dr. Sipsas-Herrmann is passionate about her work as a psychologist and psychometrician, and those who know her describe her as having an incredibly sharp intellect, but the heart and playfulness of a child. In her free time, she enjoys hiking on the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, skiing in Colorado, and getting her “burn on” with her F-45 workout group. In addition to her daughter Carlie, Dr. Sipsas-Herrmann is “Mom” to Francis and Weeda, who are therapy dogs that make regular appearances at Arizona Child Psychology, PLLC.

Meet Dr. Scott Herrmann, one of our co-founders!⭐️
Dr. Herrmann’s extensive educational and clinical background provides a wealth of expertise to the practice. He is passionate about making a positive impact through his work with children, adolescents, and families. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding in Colorado, surfing, playing chess, and swimming with his Scottsdale swim club. He has been married to Dr. Sia for over 30 years, after having first met on Day # 1 @ UCLA undergraduate orientation! Their daughter Carlie, also enjoys helping out at the practice. He is so thankful to both work and play with the ones he loves!

We are a multidisciplinary psychology and counseling practice serving children, adolescents, young adults, and parents in the Greater Phoenix area. Our practice is comprised of licensed psychologists, certified school psychologists, licensed professional counselors, and licensed marriage and family therapists. Because we are a multidisciplinary practice, we regularly consult with each other regarding clinical matters, and staff cases across disciplinary perspectives. As a result, our clients benefit from the comprehensiveness of our team approach.
As child / adolescent specialists, our unifying focus is on helping young people and families thrive. Our treatment approach is informed by evidence based practices, and we strive to deliver tangible and concrete solutions to problems. There are many psychologists and counselors in the Phoenix area, but far fewer who specialize in child and adolescent problems, and even fewer who provide both assessment and treatment services.
