We are excited to announce our Annual Thanksgiving Lunch for our unhoused friends is this Friday, Nov. 21
🍁🍽️ 🦃 in front of Larkspur Christian Church - Disciples of Christ.

If you can lend a hand, we have a sign up sheet for
volunteers and donors who would like to help with serving and/or making food. We know this is last minute but if you love to cook and bake, we are looking for you!

Happy Friday, everyone!

It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update, and we want to start by apologizing for the delay. The past few months have flown by as we’ve been busy adjusting and expanding our outreach efforts.

This summer, we had to transition from our regular outreach in the park to more street outreach, as many of our unhoused friends were slowly removed from the park. With upgrades happening in the area we serve, our friends were no longer welcome there and had to spread out to find safe places to stay during the hot summer days. Naturally, we went with them — making sure they still received food, water, clothing, and other essential items wherever they were.

This shift has brought new challenges. Serving out of vehicles isn’t as simple or personal as setting up in one place. But it has also opened doors to meet and support many new faces, which has truly been a blessing.

We’re happy to share that some of our original friends still return to the park on Fridays, remembering that we’ve always been there for them. So, we’ve started returning as well — even if it’s just to serve a few. For many, that one meal means a lot. We’ll continue to be present at the park and on the streets, doing as much as time and resources allow.

With colder weather approaching, we could really use your help. We are currently in need of:
🦴 Pet food (we’re completely out)
🍪 Snacks
🧣 Blankets, bags, jackets, hoodies, beanies, gloves, and socks — items that are easy to distribute during street outreach and essential for the months ahead.

We have a very late “Thank you” we owe to a few wonderful donors and we will start with Fritzi Harri-shawty and her wonderful volunteers who made these wonderful "Pack A Sack" lunch bags for us last month to distribute to out unhoused.

These sack lunches included some snacks and a wonder pb&j sandwich 🥪 , that were made and put together by some wonderful seniors that look forward to making these sacks every year for the homeless. We want to thank them all for their wonderful act of kindness they do to makes these for the homeless.

We also want to thank Fritzi, her wonderful husband and their church for donated a few large party subs a month prior to this, for us to distribute to our unhoused as well. ❤️ They were a blessing to many.

God bless these wonderful volunteers at Larkspur Christian Church - Disciples of Christ who make us peanut butter and jelly sandwiches 🥪 every week for our unhoused friends!

Not only do they make us 100 plus sandwiches every week to distribute, they also make another 100 plus for the Respite Center! Now that’s a lot of work, not to mention a lot of sandwiches! 🥪 Thank you Larkspur volunteers 🙏🏼 for all you all do for our unhoused friends. Blessings!

If anyone is interested in donating peanut butter and/or jelly for sandwiches 🥪 , donations can be dropped off at Larkspur church, Monday - Saturday, 12:00 PM-7:00 PM. We are also accepting donations on their behalf as well.

What a blessing we got today for our unhoused friends 🙌🏼 Praise be to God and Reborn Church for this wonderful blessing given today to provide to our unhoused friends. This will help us save so many lives this summer by keeping our friends on the streets hydrated during these hot summer days.

We are excited! We have received our first donation of water today to kick off our water collection.

Thank you Mona Morgia! 🙏🏼 These cases of water will fit perfectly in our freezers to chill and freeze to distribute. We also go through a lot of peanut butter and jelly in the sandwiches we distribute weekly. Thank you for the peanut butter and jelly donation as well.

If anyone else is interested in donating water, either by delivery or drop off, please message us the delivery information or to schedule a day and time for drop off.

Summer is officially here and we feel the heat! ☀️ This month we are starting to focus on collecting water 💦, electrolyte drinks and items to keep our unhoused friends hydrated and protected from this hot Arizona heat 🔥.

We don’t receive city grants and assistance like larger agencies, so we are reaching out to the public to ask if anyone can help us, help our unhoused friends and their pets, stay hydrated and prepared to survive this years summer heat.

We are in need of the following to distribute: Water, Gatorade, electrolytes packets, cooling towels, sunscreen, water bottles, bandannas, spray bottles, hats, sunglasses, lip balm, lotion, long sleeve shirts, umbrellas and pet supplies (dog foods, dogs shoes, collars and leashes). Happy Good Friday! We celebrated Easter 🐣 today early for our friends out here at Bonsall Park.

We provides a wonderful meal and gave out a few gifts, thanksLa Doña de Asistentesntes for donating some items to share. We also received some much needed socks from our wonderful friends Stacy and Gerrie. Thank you ladies. It’s been a while since we had new socks 🧦to share. 🙏🏼 Gerrie also shared some wonderful drinks anLarkspur Christian Church - Disciples of Christ of Christ donated some wonderful candy bags to share with the sandwich
they made. Reborn Churchur friends Natalie and Kyle Decker that made meat and cheese sandwiches and some burritos 🌯 to share. Thank you! Then we got these awesome shirts given to us by Reborn Church to give to the men. They were all grateful for all these wonderful gifts. Thank you all forr making this day wonderful for our friends.

We also want to thanks k our wonderful cooks who made or bought food. Furst we want to thank our two wonder friends Barbara Teague who made some wonderful Parmasan chicken with noodles. Our friend Joyce made some meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Not to mention the wonderful chili Betty Leyva Bernal made and the wonderful pizza 🍕 donated to us weekly by Syed. Thank you all!

Tomorrow we will be doing it again at Cesar Chavez park at noon. Anyone want to join us or share a dish or Easter 🐣 treat to share, let us know! We will be in South Phoenix tomorrow at noon!

It’s getting hot out! Today it is expected to get to 100 degrees, so we brought lots of water! We will be out today serving! Please send any of our unhoused friends our way!

Happy Friday!!! We will be at Bonsall park today serving at noon. Please send any of our friends our way for a meal, clothes and more.

It’s starting to warm up now and we are now preparing for the summer. ☀️ So if anyone has any hats, sunglasses, sun screen, chapstick (new), electrolytes packets, Gatorade /Powerade, water, men’s clothes is an ongoing need, socks, umbrellas, wash clothes, dog shoe, dog food (we are out), bandannas, cooling towels, water bottles and water jugs. We are always in need of snacks for our to go bags like chips, cookies, etc. and pb & jelly for our sandwiches, to go container, spoons and forks. We use a lot of these items weekly so they are an ongoing need. We will create an Amazon list to add to this post if you would like to help by purchasing some. We are also in need of shampoo. We are completely out for our hygiene bags. We can accept travel size and full size bottle to put in containers.

Pictures are from last Saturday’s outreach! We are no longer serving at Maryvale Park at this time. The city has cleared out that park, so we are only having Saturday outreach at Cesar Chavez park at this time. Our next Saturday outreach will be April 19.

We will also be preparing for our Easter 🐣 serving on the 18 & 19 at both Bonsall and Cesar Chavez that week, so if anyone has extra treats like candy 🍫, cupcakes or cookies…deviled eggs 🥚 that would be a nice treat.

Happy Saturday! Today we will be at Cesar Chavez park at noon! We just realized we didn’t post last month’s Cesar Chavez Valentines 💌 outreach. Thank you to all the volunteers from last month that joined us. We hope today is just as great as last month.
