I saw a post on LinkedIn that was prompted by the passing of DeAngelo. The guy spoke about how we are losing people that are relatively young at an alarming rate. After reading his post this lyric came to mind, If loving you is wrong I don’t wanna be right.

What are they loving, highly processed foods, fried foods, alcohol, smoking and sitting on the couch rather than taking a walk.

Much if this is tied to the tradition of having the same lifestyle that has been passed on to us and or a lifestyle that we have chosen that does not promote health.

I am a whole food plant based vegan, certified coach, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, friend, actor, writer, director, leader and the list could go on.

I said all that to say this. The only area that people feel my life is lacking enjoyment is in being a whole food plant based vegan.

The truth be told my is lacking because of it. My life lacks high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity (which I was until I changed) just to name a few.

Let me tell you what I do have, stress and it is effecting my rest, my confidence and my health. Fortunately my eating is not an issue. I have to get back to working on my mindset and living in my purpose.

Health is Mind, Body and Soul. All three have to be taken care of.

Love yourself enough to change and take control of Mind, Body and Soul.

Yesterday was my Birthday. I enjoyed Great company and a Good meal.

When spending time with people several hormones are released in the brain. Oxytocin is dubbed and the “Love Hormone” along with Dopanie, Serotonin and Endorphins. Which support mental and physical health.

There were lots of hugs. Once I shied away from hugging. Then I learned the importance of physical touch. Oxytocin is also released when this happens. The warm embrace of a huge allows you to transmit and receive Love.

Quality Time is my number one Love Language. So I am always open to seeing and spending time with people.

I have decided to buy myself flowers.

The beauty of them helps with my mental health.

I greet them in the morning and in the evening when I get home.

They bring me Joy and when I look at them I say it’s going to be a lovely day.

If you think it, it will be so. I hope so.

Stores mark the flowers down by end of week so they aren’t expensive.

I started posting and stopped. I didn’t stop working on my daily fitness goals. Some days I fell short. I didn’t let that deter me. I am happy for the progress because February was better than January. I keep moving forward. This month I’m adding a goal. I’m layering in order to not overwhelm myself. Starting over isn’t easy. It takes time and effort. What are you doing to achieve your goals? Who do you want to be in the next 3 months?
