They say, “Hurt people hurt people.”
But like this quote reminds us, that’s not the whole story.

Some hurt people break cycles.
Some turn pain into purpose.
Some build safe spaces.
Some heal.

That’s my story.

My own journey of healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—has shaped the way I now walk alongside others. As an FDN practitioner, I’ve seen firsthand how unresolved pain can show up in the body. Inflammation, fatigue, gut issues, hormone imbalance—our stories live in our cells. My passion for functional health grew out of learning to untangle my own story and find restoration.

But healing isn’t only physical. It’s also relational, emotional, and deeply spiritual. That’s why I’m in graduate school for counseling. Because hurt people don’t just hurt people—hurt people can heal people too. I want to be equipped to meet people not just with lab results and protocols, but with presence, empathy, and truth.

When I sit with someone, whether in my functional health practice or in the counseling room, my heart is to create space where their pain isn’t the end of the story. Where they can discover that healing is possible and that their story has purpose.

This is why I do what I do.
This is why I’m pursuing counseling.
Because I believe healing is contagious.
