Planned Parenthood says its clinics in some states will have to turn patients away or close down altogether because of a new rule in the Trump administration’s tax and policy megabill. But Planned Parenthood Arizona says its clinics are less vulnerable.

📞 Starting July 17, the 988 “Press 3” LGBTQ+ option is being removed.
This dedicated lifeline has been a compassionate beacon for more than 1.3 million LGBTQ+ youth in crisis.

At Prisma, we know losing specialized attention has consequences. But we also believe in the power of community and creativity to fill these spaces.

🌈 Here’s our hopeful plan:
1️⃣ Team up with community-based organizations to expand mental health support
2️⃣ Boost peer-led & affirming hotlines like The Trevor Project and Trans Lifeline
3️⃣ Amplify voices demanding that lawmakers protect these essential services

Everyone deserves support that understands who they are. Let’s step up. Share, donate, volunteer. Because hope grows when we grow together 🌱

Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives voted for a budget reconciliation bill that would “defund” Planned Parenthood.

To be absolutely clear: Planned Parenthood Arizona health centers doors are OPEN, will remain OPEN, and health services will continue without interruption.

Planned Parenthood Arizona is a trusted provider of essential sexual and reproductive health care — including birth control, cancer screenings, and STI testing and treatment — services that many patients access through Medicaid. No other health care provider can fully replace the critical care Planned Parenthood delivers.

Planned Parenthood Arizona deeply values and is dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community, which includes our patients, supporters, and staff. We recognize how critical it is for our patients to have certainty to access essential services, including Gender Affirming Care.

After a brief pause, we are pleased to announce the continuation of our Gender Affirming Care services. This pause occurred out of an abundance of caution after threats to the Medicaid services in our state.

The onslaught of attacks on sexual and reproductive health care services in Arizona and across the country is alarming, and is a clear, continued effort to shut down Planned Parenthood. This will not be the last threat that aims to deny people medically sound, essential health care, needlessly putting them at risk and unnecessarily creating chaos and confusion around the accessibility of services.
