Dr. Dan Lemieux, our Wisconsin Medical Director, says it best when he spoke to the Wisconsin Examiner recently about the opening of our new clinic in Milwaukee on Chase Ave: “It’s always a tough conversation to try and change minds. The data shows that people in recovery are getting jobs, they’re reuniting with family, they’re working more, crime goes down, and it’s just a win. They’re getting their lives back, and being a part of that is very rewarding and amazing.”

📲 We believe in finding solutions when none exist, and when the right tools aren’t available, we build them. In 2024, we launched the only app of its kind—created to break barriers and bring science-driven solutions directly to those who need it most.

Today, we’re proud to share the first findings from our year-long study using Recovery Connect, the revolutionary app designed to connect patients to their counselors on the go. The results confirm what we’ve always known: when innovation meets compassion, lives change.

Patients who linked with their counselor through the app early in treatment yielded substantial improvements.

🤝 Linked patients were 55% more likely to remain in treatment at 30 days
🙏 The absolute difference in 30-day retention was 9% in favor of those who linked on the app

Read the full findings at the link below, and stay tuned—we’re just getting started.

Do you see Kratom advertised in your town? Have you heard of Kratom along with the term "7-OH"? Availability is increasing, but taking it is not without risk. Kratom is a plant containing a natural chemical called mitragynine, which activates the opioid receptor in the brain - the same receptor he**in and fentanyl activate. This means Kratom could cause opioid withdrawal symptoms if a person takes it chronically and then stops taking it.

Share with your loved ones, so they know the risks. Our Chief Science Officer, Dr. Robert Sherrick, shares the latest on the CMS blog.

Kratom has become a popular herbal supplement in the United States, but is it safe? Learn the risks of using kratom with Dr. Sherrick at CMS.

At CMS, we root our care in science and evidence – we want to be sure that any treatment we give our patients is proven to be effective. Recovery Connect does not replace the counselor but can serve to strengthen the connection between each patient and their care team.

A randomized study recently showed that people who use the app regularly are 5 times less likely to leave treatment! Want to learn more? Click the link below to read the full article.

CMS has developed an app that will change how life-saving treatment for opioid addiction is delivered. Learn more with Dr. Sherrick.
