Through a friendship between social worker Susan DaBreo and Summer, the Queen Creek Costco manager, our Adopt-a-Family food pantry received a generous $500 shopper’s card! East Clinical Office manager Patty Sutton and director Kathy Donald put it to great use — stocking up on nonperishables for Hospice of the Valley patients and families. A compassionate team from Kiewit Corporation volunteered their entire Saturday to prepare a comforting homemade meal for our Lund Home patients and families — enough to share with Dobson Home too! Besides cooking and baking, they assembled adorable teddy bear-shaped washcloths for our patients.🧸We're also grateful to Kiewit for making a generous donation to support our charity care programs!

Our Story

For more than 40 years, Hospice of the Valley has cared for people with serious, chronic illness and supports their families in the comfort of home. We provide symptom relief, addressing the patient’s medical, emotional and spiritual needs. As one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit hospices, we serve Maricopa and northern Pinal counties in central Arizona. Since 1977, our mission has been constant: comfort and dignity as life nears its end. No one is ever turned away, regardless of insurance status or financial means.

Our services go beyond hospice care, helping those with serious illness who aren’t ready for hospice.

We care for people at all stages of dementia. We assist people transitioning from hospital to home. A nurse is available by phone 24/7. Bilingual care teams serve Spanish speakers. Pediatric and perinatal programs support medically fragile children. Massage, aromatherapy, music and pet visits improve quality of life. We support families every step of the way.
