It’s time for our Home for the Holidays: Door Décor Contest – Round 1! 🎄

Our residents and teams at La Siena have been busy decking the halls, and now we want your help choosing our community’s winning door.

How to vote:
1️⃣ Browse the doors in this post (each one has a number!)

This year, our gratitude spans generations and traditions!

Celebrating a 100th birthday is always a profound moment, reminding us of the rich history living within La Siena, but as we honored the past, we remained deeply committed to living in the present. We stayed active with the Tour de Zest and kept our adventurous spirit alive with frequent community outings.

We also made space for connection in all its forms... from the festive energy of Oktoberfest to the observance of Yom Kippur. It has been a year defined by meaningful milestones and a community that supports one another through every season.

Thank you for making La Siena such a connected place to call home. Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁💛

Even with rain jackets still dripping, a group of fourteen of our residents went out with Ed, our maintenance crew, and the Zest team for a yummy lunch at Taco Viva! Nicholas A. Waters of American Storytellers brought the Abernathy boys’ true adventures to life for La Siena, guiding us from that 1909 ride to four years of crossing the country by horseback, car, and motorcycle. Apple-cider mimosas, lawn games, and a whole lot of friendly rivalry... our Fall Festival sure delivered!

The chili cook-off was neck-and-neck between our staff and residents. Our kitchen won over our Executive Director Jonathan by a single vote, and resident champ Jeff R. took top honors with his go-to recipe (finished with a sweet-onion garnish!). Trumpeter Jesse McGuire kept the energy high while we tasted, cheered, and compared notes. Now that's fall fun done right! 🍁🍂

Our community welcomed children from the Montecito Montessori School for Saturday morning Halloween fun. We had a great time with themed games, crafts, and a round of trick-or-treating that our residents loved sharing. Thank you again to our Montecito Montessori partners for a great holiday!
