Meet the Teacher!

Please join us in extending a heartfelt welcome to Sarah Flower! Sarah is not only a cherished YA 300-Hour YTT alumna and an integral part of our Yoga Teacher Training program, serving as a Lead Teacher, but she also dedicates her time and expertise to teaching across all the versatile areas of our communities. We are absolutely thrilled to have such an invaluable instructor as a part of our team!

Here’s a little bit about Sarah…

Sarah's yoga practice really started to take shape in 2016 with more consistent practice. This helped her learn about herself and her connection to the world around us through the movements fueled by her breath.

Yoga helped her slow down so she could appreciate the moments, and helped her reset her nervous system, finding health and harmony in so many different ways.
Sarah finally found her calling when she attended yoga school in India, changing the entire trajectory of her life. She realized yoga was her way to help make a positive impact on our world.

Sarah loves helping people cultivate their own inner peace so they can tap into their inner wisdom and take back their power.

Breath and meditation are two of her favorite tools to bring to class, so you can stretch your body and your mind while finding your way to your favorite, healthiest self.
Sarah has her 500 hour hatha and ashtanga, 85 hour pre and post natal, and is a Yoga's Arc's 300 hour alumna.

Happy Sunday Friend!

"The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away."Pablo Picasso

Have you ever truly dove into the deep end of your own soul? Have you taken the quiet, devotional time with your God to really understand why you are here on this Earth?

There is a beautiful alignment that happens when you lean into your purpose—it’s as if the stars begin to shift to make a path for you. But a word of caution: when you start uncovering that purpose, don’t be surprised if the "crap hits the fan."

Often, everything around us starts to challenge us in new ways. This isn't a sign to stop; it’s God and the universe helping you grow, build your strength, and equip you to be powerful enough to actually carry that purpose out.

We don't do this work to hoard it. We don't do it for all the money in the world. When you find your true calling, you realize it is for something much bigger than yourself. It’s a legacy to pass on to future generations. To get there, we have to stay grounded in gratitude and see the world as it truly is: as one. The word Yoga means Union.

In my 30 years of spending time on my mat, I’ve been brought closer and closer to the truth that we are all connected. The more of us who can get onto our mats and into our hearts—rather than getting lost in the noise of social media—the stronger that Union becomes.

Find your gift.

Build the strength to carry it.

And then, give it all away.

Blessings,

Kary Sinkule Founder, Yoga’s Arc

Strike a Side Crow Pose!

Side Crow (ParsvaBakasana) is a true power move—a masterclass in body leverage, deep twisting, and mental grit. While it might look like a "cool photo" pose, it is actually a high-level workout for your obliques and deep core. By balancing your weight on your arms while twisting the torso, you create a "corset" of strength that improves your posture and stability in everything you do.

Beyond the physical fire, this pose is a massive boost for your confidence and coordination. It forces you to find total presence and quiet the mind, as you can’t "auto-pilot" an arm balance. As you refine your balance and open up tight hips through deep rotation, you’re practicing the ultimate yoga skill: patience. Whether you lift off for one second or ten, it’s about accepting exactly where your body is today.

A Note on Safety: Because Side Crow involves a deep spinal twist and significant weight-bearing, we always recommend practicing this under the supervision of a certified instructor. Having an expert eye ensures your alignment is correct so you can progress toward that lift-off moment safely.

Meet the Teacher!

There’s a new smile in our community! We are so excited to have Kaylynn joining our yoga family. She is such a wonderful addition to the team, and we’re so grateful to have her heart and talent here at Yoga’s Arc.

Here’s a little bit about Kaylynn…

Kaylynn’s love for yoga started in 2015 with her very first class in college. What began as a class quickly became something much deeper. Her teacher blended traditional yoga with knowledge of the body, movement, and spirituality in a way that completely shifted her life.

In 2016, Kaylynn knew she wanted to become a yoga teacher and health coach, but life had other plans. It was not until 2023 that she found her way back to yoga, this time with a sense of purpose. She began rebuilding her personal practice and went on to complete her 200 hour YTT and 30 hour restorative training.

Since then, she has also become certified in Reiki Master energy healing and is currently studying Ayurvedic Counseling. Through the journey of returning to herself, Kaylynn discovered how powerful it is to take a pause, make space for yourself, and get honest about what you truly want out of life.

Yoga has opened doors she never imagined possible, and she feels so grateful to now share her story, her practice, and her teachings with others.

Happy Sunday!

Tension is a waste of your time.

Have you ever noticed that we aren’t born tense? When we’re young, there is no "should"—there is only curiosity. Then we grow up and watch the "crazy people" around us running at 100mph, and we start to mirror that tension until it feels like it’s eating us alive.

We spend so much energy trying to be something we aren't yet, that we forget who we actually are.

"Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are."

That tension is like a slow torture. It’s what happens when we aren't present and we try to rush a process that shouldn't be rushed.

For me, staying present means a quiet morning routine grounded in gratitude and God. It means rescuing animals, giving back, and having real talks with friends. It’s about stripping away the "performance" of stress and returning to the relaxation we were born with.

What do you do in your world to stay present? Whether it’s a walk in nature, journaling, or a "back-to-basics" yoga flow, find the thing that brings you back to you.

Your Challenge This Sunday: Stop the rush. Drop the "shoulds." Give yourself permission to just be curious again.

With Gratitude,

Kary Sinkule Founder, Yoga’s Arc

Strike A Mountain Pose!

Tadasana might look like "just standing there," but it is actually the powerhouse of your entire yoga practice. Think of it as your Home Base—the blueprint for every other pose we do.

The Blueprint for Better Movement

The Master Alignment: Tadasana teaches your spine, shoulders, pelvis, and feet how to talk to each other. When you focus on this alignment, you carry that awareness into more complex poses, which keeps you safe and strong.

Modern Posture Fix: Let’s face it—most of our day is spent hunched over a screen. Tadasana is the ultimate "anti-slouch" move. It counteracts the discomfort of a sedentary lifestyle by resetting your shoulders and lengthening your spine.

Hidden Strength: While you look still, your body is working! This pose actively engages your thighs, knees, ankles, and core. Building this stability on the mat translates to fewer falls and injuries in your everyday life.

The Mental Grounding

The Mind-Body Bridge: Tadasana is where the physical meets the mental. By focusing on your breath and your roots, you create an immediate grounding effect.

Focus & Clarity: It requires a specific kind of quiet concentration that clears mental clutter and leaves you feeling centered and present.

Tadasana is a "portable" practice. You can find your mountain while waiting in line, standing at your desk, or anywhere you need a quick 30-second reset.

Yoga’s Arc

We were born out of a passion for outreach. After practicing yoga for the last 20 years, Kary Sinkule began wondering how she could bring yoga to those who need it most- the overworked, the unable, and the under-served. To reach these people, convenience was the name of the game. The movement had to be fueled by flexibility and a willingness to join people in every step of the journey. So we thought outside the four walls of our studio and created Yoga's Arc.

A year later, we're even more energized to keep changing the mindset of what yoga can look like. To us, yoga looks like coworkers sharing in morning rejuvenation. Yoga looks like a healing breakthrough for a stroke survivor in her own living room. Yoga looks exactly how you envision it. With more than 20 instructors across the Valley, we're growing fast, and we're excited to meet you wherever you are in your yoga journey.
