Spent a few days back in Iowa with my sons and one son's family to celebrate a little lady turning 3! Watching the excitement opening presents, learning all about Super Kitties and creating a chalk paint masterpiece was amazing.

Meanwhile, my husband was kind enough to help cut the grass and let's say allergies didn't waste time finding me. After 4 days, I'm finally 60% better and thankful my coworker Bri was able to fill-in.

T3 Team Self-Care

At T3, we don’t just focus on muscles — we hold space for the whole person. That often means listening when clients share the weight of stress, grief, or life’s challenges. As a team, we collaborate when a body or mind-body issue presents itself, exchanging ideas on how to best support healing.

But as therapists, we also have to care for ourselves. If we don’t, the energy from one session can unintentionally carry into the next. This past week was especially heavy, with several clients sharing the loss of loved ones. I felt that weight, too. So today, I pushed myself to the gym to release, reset, and recharge.

Our self-care isn’t optional — it’s what allows us to continue showing up with compassion, empathy, and presence for every client who walks through our doors.

A father said to his daughter “You have graduated with honors, here is a Jeep I bought many years ago. It is pretty old now. But before I give it to you, take it to the used car lot downtown and tell them I want to sell it and see how much they offer you for it.”

The daughter went to the used car lot, returned to her father and said, “They offered me $1,000 because they said it looks pretty worn out.”

The father said, now “Take it to the pawn shop.” The daughter went to the pawn shop, returned to her father and said,”The pawn shop offered only $100 because it is an old Jeep.”

The father asked his daughter to go to a Jeep club now and show them the Jeep. The daughter then took the Jeep to the club, returned and told her father,” Some people in the club offered $100,000 for it because “it's an iconic Jeep and sought by many collectors.”

Now the father said this to his daughter, “The right place values you the right way,” If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. Those who know your value are those who appreciate you......Never stay in a place where no one sees your value.
