Family Involvement Center is a not-for-profit, family-run organization that was founded by Jane Kallal in 2001. The majority of our employees and Board of Directors have personal life experience raising children with emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health challenges.

In August alone, our Parent Ally, Anna Ochoa, distributed 102 Narcan dispensers to members of the community. Many people shared how grateful they were, since purchasing Narcan on their own isn’t always possible.

Narcan is in high demand, and it’s clear how much it means to people when someone takes the time to provide it. Every dose handed out is a step toward saving a life — and we’re proud of the impact Anna is making.

Last night’s Future Ready gathering reminded us why these monthly events matter so much. The room was filled with both information and heart — stories that spoke to the challenges families face and the strength it takes to keep moving forward.
It was a space of learning, reflection, and connection. Many left with not only new knowledge, but also with the sense that they’re not walking this road alone.

Do you have lived experience as a parent or caregiver? We’re looking for someone who can walk alongside other parents with compassion and authenticity. As a Parent Peer Support Partner (PPSP), your focus will be on supporting parents and caregivers of children facing emotional, physical, behavioral, or mental health challenges, as well as families involved in the child welfare system.

You’ll help them build on their strengths, reach their goals, and create a plan for hope and resiliency. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
