Family Involvement Center Non-profit agency that provides support to families raising children with emotional, physical, and/or behavioral health challenges.

Family Involvement Center is a not-for-profit, family-run organization that was founded by Jane Kallal in 2001. The majority of our employees and Board of Directors have personal life experience raising children with emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health challenges.

Last weekend we had the honor of hosting a community breakfast and food and toy drive at Family Involvement Center, organized by AZ Village Network in partnership with Just Sass-e Foundation.

Because of the generosity of our community, food, toys, winter clothing, and essentials were collected to support families in need this holiday season, especially families with loved ones who are incarcerated or reintegrating back into the community.

Moments like this remind us what happens when people come together with intention and heart. Thank you to everyone who donated, attended, and helped make the morning meaningful.

Recent tragic events in the news have raised concerns about safety and well-being for many families. Stories like these can bring up a range of emotions and may be especially difficult during the holiday season.

At Family Involvement Center, we want you to know you’re not alone. When children and youth are exposed to distressing news, it’s okay to slow down, ask questions, and focus on what helps your family feel safe and supported.

From the very beginning, her work with families was driven by heart, purpose, and lived experience,

Lynette Tolliver’s journey with Family Involvement Center began in 2004 as a therapeutic foster parent. Recognized for her strong advocacy and lived experience, she was encouraged to become a Family Support Partner during the early days of FIC’s family driven support model.

Lynette quickly moved into leadership roles as a trainer and later as Family and Professional Partnerships Development Manager, representing FIC through education, advocacy, and national presentations. Even while working outside the organization, she remained a strong voice for families at the systems and board level.

In 2023, Lynette joined the FIC Board of Directors and chaired the Board Development Committee, helping grow the board and strengthening its development process.

As she steps away in January 2026, we are thankful for the many years of leadership, service, and family centered impact Lynette has given to FIC.
