Last Wednesday, Dr. Dan was asked to work the Summer of ‘99 Tour, which included the bands Creed & 3 Doors Down. It was the 2️⃣5️⃣th Anniversary of each band’s HUGE album from 1999, including: Creed’s ▶️ Human Clay & 3 Doors Down ▶️ The Better Life. The current North American Tour is about halfway done, and every show is a sell-out!

By the end of the night, Dr. Dan had adjusted 10 people, including: The drum tech, guitar tech, three sound engineers, lighting engineer, band’s security guard, production coordinator, and two LiveNation employees, including the facilities manager & concert promoter. Dr. Dan brought an electric guitar with him and Creed signed it! 😎👍

Dr. Dan was called down to Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre to work on the band called Thirty Seconds to Mars. The drummer, Shannon Leto, requires that a Chiropractor be present at every stop on the Seasons Tour, just in case he needs to be seen before a show. Dr. Dan was there at the venue Sunday night, standing-by, when he was suddenly escorted to Shannon’s dressing room. In a rush, the table was set up, and the Activator Method was used to adjust the drummer. When he got up off the table, he told Dr. Dan… “Thanks, I feel better!”. That’s another satisfied patient, which is good, because the show must always go on! 🤘😎 🌵 🎸

Dr. Dan was called down to Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater on Tuesday, to be the chiropractor for the Queens of R&B Tour. He had the opportunity to adjust the tour’s production manager, two band managers, some crew, and the artist known as MYA. He also met another promoter with LiveNation, which may lead to other concert events in the future. All in all, it was a good experience and a very productive day 👑 🌵 🎸

Last week, Dr. Dan was called upon to treat the Road Manager for the band, The Eagles. The patient had “pulled her lower back” while working backstage on a previous show. She came into the office for evaluation and treatment. Turns out, both her hip and lumbar were out of alignment. After receiving an adjustment, she noticed a difference and by the next day, was definitely feeling better. The Eagles performed two nights last week in downtown Phoenix, on The Long Goodbye - Final Tour. The current band lineup included: From left, Joe Walsh, Vince Gill, Deacon Fry (son of late Eagles co-founder Glenn Fry), Don Henley, and Timothy B. Schmit.

Dr. Dan has been doing Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique for 30 years now. Last weekend, in order to maintain his Advanced Proficiency rating with Activator, he went back to the basics! This meant completing 12 hours of online training in the Basic Scan protocol. The course included: The history of the Activator Method, leg-length testing, the knees, feet, shoulders, and spine. It was a useful review, and he scored 100% on the final exam 🤓👍

Dr. Dan is required to complete 12 hours of continuing education in Activator every year to keep his Advanced Proficiency rating. Ever since the pandemic, in-person seminars no longer take place. For this reason, Dr. Dan completed his 12 hours by taking an Advanced Tests class online @ the Activator Institute VT. It was an excellent review of chiropractic tests for the lower back, rib cage, and neck areas. The goal of Activator chiropractic is to find the underlying cause of a patient’s complaint and correct it. These yearly review courses help him do just that! Thanks Activator Methods.

Dr. Dan was called upon to treat one of the crew members on the Olivia Rodrigo Sour Tour, which stops in Phoenix tonight! The patient was suffering from lingering low back pain brought on by the stress of touring. It was her first experience with chiropractic, and she was fearful of being manually adjusted. After an explanation of the technique that Dr. Dan uses, the Activator Method, she was immediately put at ease. The treatment went very well, and she was amazed how much better her low back felt after an adjustment 😌

On March 30th, Gov. Doug Ducey announced Executive Order 2020-18, "Stay home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected." This order confirms, "All persons may leave their place of residence only for Essential Activities" including, "things such as seeking medical, behavioral health or emergency services."

Chiropractic is an Essential Service as stated by the Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Therefore, we will remain open and continue to follow the latest guidance from the CDC and local authorities.

Regular chiropractic treatments are essential for maintaining your health and well-being—especially, during trying and stressful times. Your physical wellness and safety is of the highest priority to us; and we are aware each time you schedule an appointment, you are placing your trust in us. Which is why we are committed to providing you with a safe and comfortable environment.

We are taking the following precautions to ensure your protection:
Adjustment table is properly cleaned and sanitized between every patient
Touchable surfaces (door handles, desks, pens, etc.) are frequently cleaned daily
Before seeing each patient, Dr. Dan washes his hands according to the recommendations set by the CDC

In order to maintain a clean environment, we ask if you are feeling sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to please reschedule your appointment at least two weeks out. By doing so, you are protecting other patients, our practice, and our family. Yesterday was the yearly Activator seminar in Phoenix. It was held at the Embassy Suites Biltmore on Camelback Road. Dr. Dan was in attendance to receive eight hours of continuing education and also maintain his advanced proficiency rating with Activator Methods.

The creator of the Activator Technique, Dr. Arlan Fuhr, spoke to the group of doctors the first hour and gave an update on fascinating chiropractic research being done around the world by Activator.

The rest of the day was spent reviewing leg check protocol; going over tests & adjustments for knees, feet, hips, clavicles, and wrists; and covering topics such as frozen shoulder and the rotator cuff.

Dr. Dan was called down to the Post Malone concert Friday night at Gila River Arena in Glendale. He was there to adjust the crew after the tour had requested a chiropractor. Eight crew members, with job titles ranging from: Wardrobe, catering, production asst, lighting mgr, special effects expert, automation tech, backstage mgr, to stage rigger, got chiropractic adjustments that night.

These dedicated people work long hours, do physical work, travel for months at a time, sleep in cramped spaces on tour buses, and have the stress of meeting nightly deadlines. This particular crew was very friendly and appreciative, and most were quite familiar with chiropractic care. It was a pleasure to be part of Post Malone's "Runaway Tour" on its stop in Glendale, Arizona.

For those of you not familiar with Post, he is Austin Richard Post, known professionally as Post Malone. He is a 24-year old American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He currently resides in Salt Lake City, UT. He has gained acclaim for blending musical genres including hip hop, pop, trap, and rock.

His introspective songwriting and his laconic vocal style is well-represented on his latest record entitled Hollywood's Bleeding (2019). It includes many collaborative efforts with other artists such as Travis Scott, Kanye West, Halsey, and Ozzie Osborne

Dr. Dan was called down to the Dave Matthews Band concert last night at Ak-Chin Pavilion to adjust a band member and crew. The saxophone player was having lower back pain. It was Dr. Dan's third time working on this particular group in recent years. He likes this tour in general because the people are so health-minded and they favor alternative treatment

Last night Dr. Dan was called down to Comerica Theatre to adjust a band member (a violinist) for English soprano singer Sarah Brightman. She is currently on a world tour promoting her most recent album entitled Hymn. With 125 shows on five continents, this is expected to be the largest tour of her career

Dr. Dan is pictured here with Dr. Arlan W. Fuhr, the co-founder and chairman of Activator Methods International. He is the co-inventor of the Activator Adjusting Instrument and the Activator Technique.

Established Nearly 50 years ago, the Activator Method is the world's most widely-used instrument adjusting chiropractic technique and is currently in use by 70 percent of all chiropractors.

Last Saturday was the annual Activator Methods Fall Seminar in Phoenix. It was held at the Hilton DoubleTree Resort in Scottsdale. Dr. Dan attends yearly to maintain his Advanced Proficiency Rating.

Dr. Dan was called down to the Thirty Seconds to Mars concert last night at Ak-Chin Pavilion to adjust the band and crew. The rock band from Los Angeles, California, consists of brothers Jared Leto and Shannon Leto.

Dr. Charnstrom does treat insurance patients and participates with most major insurers such as: Aetna, Blue Cross/ Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Cigna, to name a few. This weekend he completed his continuing education by attending a seminar on insurance documentation. It covered areas like: History taking, exam, diagnosis, record keeping, and insurance billing. It's Dr. Dan's goal to not only provide excellent service to his patients, but also to properly manage their care in accordance with what their individual insurance plan requires.
