This past weekend, we had the incredible honor of serving alongside an amazing team of doctors, technicians, students, and volunteers in Rocky Point, Mexico with Palabras de Esperanza. 🙌🏽The focus of this clinic was to prepare patients for a future cataract surgery event — and we’re so grateful to have helped 25 patients get set up for life-changing cataract surgery and provided 9 people with new glasses to improve their daily lives. 👓✨We’re especially thankful for the opportunity to partner with and serve alongside such passionate, compassionate people—all committed to using their skills to uplift others through quality care and human connection. ❤️It’s a privilege to be part of something bigger, and we’re already looking forward to the next time. 🌎💫

👀 Seeing Floaters or Flashes? Here’s What It Means! ⚡

Have you ever noticed tiny specks, cobwebs, or flashes of light in your vision? These could be eye floaters and flashes, and while they’re common, they can sometimes signal a serious issue.

🔍 What Are Floaters?
Floaters are tiny clumps of gel or cells inside your eye’s vitreous (the clear gel filling your eye). They move when you try to look at them and are more noticeable against bright backgrounds.

⚡ What About Flashes?
Flashes look like streaks of light or lightning bolts in your vision. They happen when the vitreous pulls on your retina.

🚨 When to See an Eye Doctor ASAP:
❌ A sudden increase in floaters
❌ Flashes of light that don’t go away
❌ A dark curtain or shadow in your vision
