I have a counseling client who worked in one of the Kamala Harris campaign offices. She texted me earlier today and asked how I was doing.

This is what I told her:

Oh yes, I can't even imagine what it was like in the environment you were in. It must have been like a pressure cooker.

I'm okay, thank you.

I am certain all this has happened for, not only the people of the US, but the people of the world to awaken to a very real contrast between the "awakened masculine," and the "asleep."

For the last 30 years, on any given Father's Day I have from 2 to 12 clients that are deeply grieving/longing/heart-broken for a healthy, loving connection with their father. If you think I was talking ABOUT you, or TO you, re my Father's Day post, I assure you it was coincidence.

I do not post about specific clients.

I see trends and patterns in people's lives over the years, and I know, that if people know they are not alone, it makes the pain more bearable. You are not the odd-man-out.

A counselor is bound by a code of confidentiality. Consequently, for all these years, I get to see beautiful miracles every day and never share it.

I wish I could post, "I witnessed a beautiful epiphany today when my client smashed her childhood sexual abuse to bits!! And realized that she has a right to say, 'NO this is my body!', when her boyfriend pressures her."
..Or when I see a battered woman move out and file a restraining order against her soon-to-be ex husband... Or when I see a man realize that being beaten as a child by his father, isn't normal parenting. I would love to share the blessings I witness daily.

Instead, if I can post something general that gets you thru Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, New Years, etc. knowing that you are not alone and that all the cheery movies, greeting cards and neighbors who look like their perfect lives are an exclusive bubble in which you are not welcome, I am happy to oblige.

I hope you know you are in a bigger ALL-INCLUSIVE bubble... where you are loved and not judged and you don't have to be perfect or have a life that looks like the father and child on that pretty Father's Day card.

I'm Your Family! I Love and Accept You! There is nothing you have to do to earn the Crown... it is Already on Your Head!
