Some of the best summer memories are made on the water. Whether you’re swimming, boating or floating, keep these safety reminders in mind:
◾Wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket that fits properly.
◾Assign an adult "water watcher" when children are swimming.
◾Never dive into unfamiliar water; enter feet first.

◾Avoid alcohol while operating any watercraft.
◾Bring a charged phone in a waterproof case, and check the weather before heading out.
Smart preparation helps prevent accidents and ensures your summer stays safe and memorable.
