From Parking Lot to Peak: Your Body Deserves Better Prep

Phoenix friends, the triple digits are finally behind us! Time for morning runs, desert hikes, and all the outdoor adventures we’ve been craving.

But here’s the secret to making every trail smoother and stronger: Parking Lot Yoga.

Before our group explored Antelope Canyon at October’s Untethered Wellness Retreat, we practiced this simple sequence right there in the parking lot. Within minutes, everyone felt grounded, centered, and ready to experience the beauty ahead.

These aren’t fancy poses—they’re intentional movements that awaken your joints, activate your muscles, and align your breath with your body. Think of it as your pre-adventure ritual.

✨ Ready to experience this for yourself?
Join us at our next Untethered Wellness Retreat June 4-7, 2026, and discover how powerful it feels to prepare your body AND spirit for adventure.

Your next peak moment is waiting. Let’s get you ready for it.

This month marks two years since I closed my 24-year massage practice to chase a whisper in my heart.

Terrifying? Absolutely. Worth it? Beyond measure.

Through two decades of bodywork, I learned that unhealed stress doesn’t stay in our minds—it lives in our bodies. That understanding became a mission I couldn’t ignore.

Today, I’m helping organizations and individuals understand the mind-body connection and live from a regulated nervous system instead of survival mode.

Here’s what these two years taught me: ✨ When you stop playing small, the universe responds ✨ Intention without action is just a wish ✨ Growth lives on the other side of comfort ✨ Your gifts create ripples you’ll never fully see

If there’s a whisper tugging at your heart—a dream, a change, a calling—this is your sign to stop waiting.

Feel the fear. Take the step. Trust the path will reveal itself.

The biggest regret isn’t failing—it’s never trying at all.

What’s one brave step you’re ready to take toward the life you’re meant to live? 💫

I am honored by the invitation to attend St. Vincent de Paul’s annual fundraiser breakfast as a table caption for 2nd year so I rallied some of my colleagues and friends to attend the breakfast with me yesterday.

When I connected with St. Vicente de Paul a couple year ago I learned that this organization is more than just a soup kitchen turned out to be a lifeline for those in need—offering services, resources, and a community that goes beyond merely providing for the homeless; they FEED. CLOTHE. HOUSE. HEAL.

Yesterday morning listened to stories from individuals directly affected by the organization. As 1,300 people gathered in a room, gratitude filled the air as these lives were profoundly touched by the resources, people, and community that helped them rebuild.

It was an organization like this that was a lifeline for my husband and me in 2008 when we lost everything. I made a promise that once we were in a stable position, I would find ways to give back and pay it forward.

I encourage you to look around and extend a helping hand to those in need. If you’re in the Phoenix area, I encourage you to take a tour of their facility, you might feel called to serve. To learn more go to http://volunteer.stvincentdepaul.net/

Today I spent the morning volunteering at the Mesa garden with my amazing friend . In a world that is fast paced it important to take time to slow down and to see the needs of those around us and within our communities.

Service & Contribution is Key 7 in the framework I teach in corporate settings.

Giving back creates meaning and perspective in ways nothing else can. Whether it’s volunteering in your community, supporting a friend, or simply asking “How can I support you?”—service enriches the giver as much as the receiver.

If you’re looking for a way to ground yourself and reconnect with what matters, I can’t recommend it enough. Find your way to give back. Start small. Start today.

What ways are you paying it forward in your community?
