Pain with Intimacy After Baby? Let’s Talk About It.

You’re not alone—and it’s not something you just have to push through.
Many women experience discomfort or pain with intimacy after giving birth, whether from scar tissue, pelvic floor tension, hormonal shifts, or simply feeling disconnected from their body.

At She PT, we believe your postpartum recovery should include all aspects of your well-being—including sexual health. We gently assess what’s going on and create a plan that helps you feel safe, supported, and confident again.

Your comfort matters. Your body matters. And yes—pain-free intimacy is possible again. 🩵

Common Signs of Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP)..and why you don’t have to just live with them 👇

Pelvic organ prolapse happens when one or more pelvic organs (like the bladder, uterus, or re**um) shift downward due to weakened or imbalanced pelvic floor muscles. It’s more common than you might think—over 50% of women will experience it in their lifetime.

Some symptoms we hear from patients all the time:

🔸 A feeling of pelvic heaviness or pressure
🔸 A bulge or “something falling out” sensation
🔸 Changes in bladder or bowel habits (like leaking or incomplete emptying)
🔸 Discomfort or pain with intimacy
🔸 Lower back pain or core weakness

At She PT, we take a whole-body approach to prolapse—looking beyond the pelvic floor to address breathing, alignment, past injuries, and the way your core and pelvic floor work together.

Whether you’ve been diagnosed with prolapse or just have symptoms you’ve been wondering about, we’re here to help you feel strong, supported, and confident again. 🩵

C-Section vs. Vaginal Birth: Different Recovery, Same Strength 💪

No matter how you gave birth—vaginally or via C-section—your body deserves support in healing and rebuilding strength.

➡️ C-section recovery can involve scar sensitivity, core disconnection, and tension patterns that affect posture, breath, and mobility.

At She PT, we meet you where you are.
Our approach is individualized, compassionate, and rooted in restoring function so you feel strong, confident, and back at home in your body.

Every birth is valid. Every recovery matters. Every mom deserves care. 🩵

If you’ve been told to “just do ab work” for diastasis recti, you’re missing the full picture. At She PT, we take a whole-body approach to healing. That means addressing:

🫁 Breathing patterns that affect core pressure
🧍‍♀️ Posture and rib cage alignment
🟡 Pelvic floor coordination
🍑 Glutes, hamstrings, and how your whole body moves
🧘‍♀️ How you lift, carry, and care for your little one

Because real recovery is about function, not just how your abs look. If your core doesn’t feel right after baby—or even years later—we’re here to help.
