Today, PNAAZ recognizes and celebrates the RN members who have achieved certification in their specialty/subspecialty. Certified Nurses Day™ honors nurses worldwide who contribute to better patient outcomes through national board certification in their specialty. A registered nurse (RN) license credential allows nurses to practice. Additonal certification affirms advanced knowledge, skill, and practice to meet the challenges of modern nursing.

Every March 19, employers, certification boards, education facilities, and healthcare providers celebrate and publicly acknowledge nurses who care enough to earn and maintain the highest credentials in their specialty.

Thank you to Grand Canyon University for their hospitality and for giving us 100 tickets to the basketball game!!! PNAAZ family and friends had a great time. Thanks to Billie and Ajay for organizing the meetup :)

Kudos to AZ Nurses today who came out in hundreds to support the APRN legislation and advocated for expanding nursing practice in Arizona! The Arizona Nurses Association and the Arizona Action Coalition put up such a good fight today and was able to win over the committee of senators and representatives of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee with 5 : 4 votes and over 700 letters of support.

A lot of thanks go out to several nursing organizations who came together in support of the change. This historic day would not have been possible without all the nurses getting out and having their voices heard!
