Anny's Favorite Things #6: pre and probiotic⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did you know that there is a huge connection between your gut health and your skin? The more I learn about the microbiome, the more I realize that to have clear, healthy skin, I need to be eating the right food and taking the right supplements!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In comes Seed, a daily pre and probiotic. Check out their website to fully understand how awesome this company is. They offer research about the microbiome and probiotics that is informative and thorough.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To put it as basically as I can, your gut needs to have a balance of good and bad bacteria in order for your skin to do what it needs to do. What does it need to do? Keep the bad things out, the good things in and limit evaporation of water (TEWL.) I'll be posting soon about what other supplements I take to keep my skin healthy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
ALSO: Gut health is linked to digestive issues and mental health issues! Start healing your gut, start healing issues like acne, psoriasis (my personal skin issue), rosacea, IBS, depression, and anxiety.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BONUS: Take your pre/probiotic, but also add more live foods to your diet. This includes pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi, real yogurt, miso, kombucha and more. These foods can also add a lot of flavor to an otherwise bland meal, try it out!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
