PASRS PASRS (Professional Association of Senior Referral Specialists) is a nonprofit.

The Senior Placement & Referral industry is unregulated, having no required licensing oversight by a governing or regulatory board. The question consumers consistently ask is: “How does one choose a reputable and reliable agency to help us through this difficult time of finding a home for our senior or disabled loved one or friend?"

PASRS assures the presence of reputable and reliable agencies by:
*Providing a clear definition of the scope of practice for the Senior Referral Industry in Arizona
*Establishing, promoting, and working to enforce industry minimum standards of best and ethical business practices for the Senior Referral Industry in Arizona
*Providing resources to assist consumers in their search for senior referral providers and affiliated businesses who maintain PASRS’s minimum standards of best and ethical business practices

PASRS commitment and adherence to the best practices is the essential core element for all members. The Association’s Best Practices for Business Members are designed to promote honest and ethical conduct in Arizona’s senior referral industry. They are also designed to facilitate and encourage prompt reporting of law and/or regulatory violations. PASRS industry members voluntarily adhere to the Best Practices set forward by the organization to protect, educate and serve the general public with regard to the senior living industry.

Today, the PASRS Board was at the Arizona State Senate advocating for SB144, and it passed unanimously. This proposed amendment strengthens protections for seniors by requiring referral agents to carry a minimum of $1 million in commercial general liability insurance and provide proof of no criminal record.
