"Traveling can be overwhelming for someone experiencing dementia. With an estimated 7 million people in the United States experiencing dementia, Phoenix Sky Harbor proudly offers a Dementia Friendly Air Travel Workshop to passengers and caregivers of people with dementia. This workshop gives the tools and knowledge to help make air travel manageable and a positive experience by bringing together representatives from the airport, airlines, and the TSA to share information and answer questions. Phoenix Sky Harbor was the first airport in the country to offer this workshop. The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 21, to register, please email skyharbor@phoenix.gov. We have great partners, like Living Gracefully, PLLC, to help keep our residents moving & healthy.

They came by our Azalea Bloom residence in North Phoenix for some light exercises that are great for the elderly. Exercise helps both the mind and body, and with mental health.
