On March 20th, the Sun moves into Aries, ushering in a new cycle for all of us. Aries, a fiery, cardinal sign, is intimately connected to both endings and new beginnings. It marks the closing out of one cycle for a new one to begin. Think back to all you have experienced over the past year and ask yourself, what has come to a close in your life? While we may have all experienced loss in one way or another, we have also gained new insights into ourselves. As the Sun transits Aries, we may feel compelled to initiate a fresh direction or adopt new patterns of behavior. Change is essential for growth, and growth is the key theme during this time. We are all called to plant a new seed—one that has yet to reach its full potential but holds the infinite possibilities of what it can become. With great effort and care, it can blossom into something far beyond our expectations. However, not all seeds germinate. We must remember that the environment we create for these seeds is just as important as the seed itself. How can we ensure that we are planting the right seeds for maximum growth? We must treat our seeds—our dreams, our aspirations—as newborn babies, in need of constant nurturing. These seeds represent parts of ourselves, fragments of our unconscious mind being born into conscious awareness, ready to take root and evolve. In essence, we are birthing new aspects of ourselves from the depths of our Souls, becoming something greater than what we are now. The future is brimming with potential, and now is the time to ask ourselves: Who do we want to become? Our new endeavors are in their infancy, so it is natural to feel uncertain or insecure. For each step forward, we might take a step back, wrestling with self- doubt. But even through this hesitation, change will occur, though sometimes, we may inadvertently get in the way of our own growth. Aries energy teaches us to embrace self-discovery and continual evolution without hindering it. It teaches us to trust our own instincts and stop getting in our own way. It does not allow us to remain stagnant. To thrive under Aries' influence, we must embrace freedom and independence, acting on our desires and new experiences that allow us to manifest our sense of destiny and who we are becoming. This sense of a "special destiny" is intrinsic to Aries: the belief that through action and experience, we discover our identity as being in an ever-evolving state of becoming. It’s up to us to decide who we want to become.

This Aries energy will affect all of us, though in different ways. To better understand which area of your life is being highlighted, look to where Aries falls in your birth chart. This will reveal what is being born within you, ready for self-discovery and new beginnings. It is important to point out that around the same time the sun enters Aries, Venus will move into a special alignment with the Sun in a conjunction known as a ‘Cazimi”, where a planet is considered to be in the heart of the Sun. This alignment between the Sun and Venus will occur on March 22nd at 2° Aries and will intensify our connection to our desires. We will all feel compelled to examine our deepest desires, getting to know what we truly seek and what actions we must take to fulfill those desires. With Venus in the heart of the Sun, we are invited to explore our inner relationship with ourselves and how it shapes the relationships we form with others. The more we evolve our objective awareness beyond just ourselves, the more we find resonance with others. The Venus-Sun conjunction in Aries kicks off an extra surge of Aries energy, which intensifies on March 29th with a New Moon in Aries and a partial Solar Eclipse. Then, on March 30th, Neptune moves into Aries for the first time in 164 years. These significant astrological events will impact all of us both individually and collectively, and I’ll dive deeper into them in a separate video or post. Until then, let us all realize that now is the time to embrace new desires, to want something more, something different. To uncover our desires, we must have the courage to delve deep into ourselves. On February 18th, the sun enters the sign of Pisces, casting its light through the lens of Piscean energy. While those with planets in Pisces will feel this shift most intensely, everyone has Pisces in their birth chart and will be affected by this energy. Pisces embodies the archetype of transcendence—our Soul’s innate drive to transcend the physical and material worlds. Transcendence means realizing our oneness with all of creation and with God, seeing our individuality as an extension of the divine source of life. Through this, we can spiritualize every aspect of our existence. As a water sign, Pisces’ ethereal energy seeks to dissolve the boundaries between us and the all, allowing us to experience the totality of life and reality across all dimensions. This energy brings us closer to sensing the Source of all that constitutes life. However, to fully embrace this, it must be consciously nurtured and realized by each of us. Those with strong Piscean placements in their birth charts will feel a heightened desire to merge their individual power into the cosmic whole, seeking a direct connection with the ultimate source of creation. The Piscean path encourages us to align with a transcendental belief system that supports this spiritualizing process. Pisces season calls us to explore values, beliefs, and knowledge that transcend time, space, and cultural limitations. Through this process, we recognize our own immortality and come to understand infinity and timelessness from the Soul's perspective.

This process of expansion begins in Virgo and culminates in Pisces, guiding us through a transformation that merges our individualized ego with the Divine Source. Through Pisces energy, we feel as though we stand at the edge of a precipice. Behind us is the light of the known world—our past, culture, and the structures of time and space. Ahead lies the vast darkness of infinity—the abyss, the unknown future, and the timeless expanse of the Universe. Here, we face a choice: to move forward, to retreat, or to remain suspended in this moment of uncertainty. To move forward requires a willingness to dissolve the ego. While the ego serves as an essential focusing agent of our total nature, excessive attachment to it disconnects us from our Soul. This disconnection can lead to escapist behaviors—such as addictions like drug and alcohol abuse and an overreliance on fantasy—that provide a false sense of control and lead to illusion and delusion in our lives. Pisces energy intensifies this struggle as it spotlights our imaginations, urging our ego to stop resisting losing control so it’s no longer stuck in confusion and illusion. The painful experience of disillusionment is meant to foster wisdom. A sense of meaninglessness and emptiness arises when ultimate meaning cannot be found in the illusions we’ve created. This is where the psychology of escapism and avoidance often manifests in the Pisces archetype, with substance abuse being a common behavior linked to it. While this behavior can vary in severity, any form of escapism or avoidance will inevitably harm an individual’s life and must be addressed. The underlying cause of such distorted behavior is the deep feelings of meaninglessness, emptiness, and worthlessness—emotions that often surface within Pisces.

Ultimately, Pisces teaches us that by resisting ego dissolution, we deepen our separation from the Divine, which leads to cycles of feeling lost and confused. Only by surrendering our attachment to ego, can we allow divine patterns to emerge from within, providing clarity and connection to a greater whole—the Universe and God. Pisces teaches us to embrace this sensitivity, to trust in the larger forces of creation, and to surrender to the cosmic flow of the universe. So, as we enter Pisces season, let us all remember the analogy of the wave and the ocean. Pisces shows us that, like the wave, we are not separate from the ocean (the Source) or God. Very few people have their consciousness centered in the ocean itself, as the center of consciousness for most people is the wave upon the ocean. But the key here is to realize that the wave cannot exist without the ocean, as the ocean created the wave. By centering our consciousness on the ocean—on the Divine—we dissolve the illusion of separateness and transcend the limiting beliefs that keep us feeling trapped. This shift in consciousness dissolves our egocentric identity and reveals the deeper, spiritual truth that exists within us all, that we are not separate from God and God exists within all of us – the key to Pisces Season.

On January 19th, the Sun will enter the sign of Aquarius, casting its light on all things Aquarian. If you were born between January 19th and February 18th, you have your natal Sun in Aquarius, but we all have Aquarius in our Birth Charts. As the Sun moves through Aquarius, we will all feel its influence, but for those who have planets in this sign, this energy will be especially potent. Aquarius is the archetype of liberation and progress. From an evolutionary perspective, it urges us to shed the weight of the past and break free from the cultural, familial, and societal expectations that define us. For those with strong Aquarian placements in their Natal charts, there's often a deep sense of being different, never quite fitting in. This feeling of not belonging can lead to isolation, as we may struggle to connect with others who don’t fully understand us. In an effort to belong, we might suppress our unique qualities to gain acceptance from our peers. Yet, despite this outward conformity, the internal sense of difference remains, leaving us feeling alone. The most isolating part of this experience is feeling like we have to wear a mask to fit in, something Aquarian energy often magnifies.

To embrace the Aquarian spirit, we must be willing to reject the limitations of inauthenticity —particularly anything that stifles our individuality and growth, even if it means we must stand alone. To follow the Aquarian way, we must be willing to explore new ways of relating to ourselves and resist the urge to fit in. We must radically transform ourselves and, in doing so, reshape our relationship with not only ourselves, but also with others, and society itself. We must remove our mask and stand in our truth.

This next month encourages us to find communities of like-minded people who share our vision, reinforcing that being "different" is not only acceptable, but VITAL. Aquarius season calls for revolution. By breaking free from the past, we make room for new ideas, new beliefs, and new norms – we revolutionize our lives. Social change is born when enough individuals come together, united by the need to challenge the status quo and outdated structures within our society. Aquarius season reminds us that every individual is an important part of the greater whole. We each have the power to influence and transform the larger collective. This time of year calls for personal and societal reinvention, as a reminder that we are all connected, and our uniqueness can be the catalyst for great, world change. So, as we venture forth into Aquarius season, let us all remember that by embracing our “differentness” and all that makes us unique, we can revolutionize our lives and the lives of those around us — we can make a lasting difference by being different.

A full moon occurs when the moon is opposite the sun, at a 180-degree angle, intensifying the emotional energy within us. The moon represents our emotional needs and desires, which are subjective and contribute to our sense of self. It governs our moods, feelings, and patterns of inner security. In evolutionary astrology, the Soul creates the ego to help it experience itself. While the sun is our objective center, the moon is our subjective, personal center—it is our ego. We all have an ego, and it is essential. It shapes our self-image and defines what we consciously integrate about ourselves. Our ego gives form to who we are, acting as a focusing agent within our total nature. The moon’s position in our natal chart reveals our personal self-image, showing how we see ourselves, distinct from how others see us. The moon feels most at home in Cancer, as it rules this sign naturally.
