Are you considering PRP or BMAC regenerative therapy but unsure if insurance will help cover the cost? Most insurance plans, including Medicare, do not cover PRP or BMAC treatments because they’re still classified as elective or investigational.

That said, understanding the financial side upfront makes planning easier. Many patients use HSA/FSA funds, and our team is here to walk you through your options and pricing before you book.

Stress doesn’t just affect your mind; it also affects your body.

When stress becomes chronic, it can trigger physical changes that contribute to pain, including:
• Increased inflammation
• Persistent muscle tension
• Poor movement patterns
• Slower recovery from injury

Over time, these changes can place extra strain on joints, muscles, and the spine.
At Desert Spine and Sports Physicians, care focuses on addressing the root causes of pain rather than just the symptoms.

This may include:
• Targeted treatments for structural injuries
• Neuromuscular rehabilitation
• Regenerative therapies that support tissue healing
• Strategies that help restore normal movement and function

Because when the body’s systems work together again, recovery becomes possible.

Desert Spine and Sports Physicians recently participated in a Tenex cadaver lab , continuing our commitment to advancing minimally invasive, function-focused care through hands-on education.

We’re proud to highlight the providers who took part in this experience: Dr. Le, Dr. Sielski, Dr. Ralhan, Dr. Minkley, and Dr. Page. Opportunities like this allow our team to refine techniques, collaborate with peers, and stay at the forefront of musculoskeletal innovation.

Swipe through to see moments from the lab and the work happening behind the scenes to elevate patient care.

Dr. Pannozzo is the first physician in the country to perform Endoscopic LESS® Invasive Decompression (ELID) - and we're doing it right here in Arizona.

ELID is an outpatient procedure that addresses spinal stenosis and herniated discs through a small incision, using an endoscopic approach to decompress spinal nerves with minimal tissue disruption. No implants. Light anesthesia. Faster return to function.

For patients who've exhausted conservative care and want an alternative to traditional open surgery, this is a meaningful option.

“I’m thrilled to be the first to use the ELID system for decompression and to help advance the scope of Pain Medicine. As the field expands, patients are provided more treatment options and I’m happy to be at the leading edge of what’s available.”
-Dr. Pannozzo

At Desert Spine and Sports Physicians, we look deeper at the neuromuscular system driving pain, using therapies like:

• Nervous system regulation strategies
• Targeted rehabilitation to restore efficient movement

When the nervous system calms down, muscles activate properly again, and movement becomes easier.

Celebrating 20 years of excellence!

Dr. Brad Sorosky and Dr. Susan Sorosky have been named Phoenix Magazine “Top Docs” for the 20th consecutive year, a recognition that reflects not just individual achievement, but the foundation of a practice built on consistency, trust, and patient-centered care.

What began with two physicians has grown into a statewide team delivering non-surgical, outcomes-driven spine and musculoskeletal care, all grounded in a shared philosophy: treat the whole person, restore function, and prioritize long-term results.
This milestone is more than a recognition. It represents the standard of care Desert Spine and Sports Physicians continues to uphold every day.

Living with ongoing pain can be stressful, especially during April, Stress Awareness Month, when we recognize how closely stress and physical pain are connected.

When pain interferes with sleep, movement, and everyday activities, it can impact nearly every aspect of life—from work and exercise to overall well-being.
Many people continue living with pain longer than they should because the true source hasn’t been clearly identified.

At Desert Spine and Sports Physicians, care begins with a precise diagnosis to understand what’s driving the pain and determine the most appropriate treatment. This may include advanced imaging, image-guided procedures, regenerative therapies, or targeted rehabilitation designed to restore function.

The goal is simple: help patients move better, reduce pain, and regain quality of life—through personalized, non-surgical care that focuses on the whole person.

Not all injections are the same. Image guidance, such as fluoroscopy or ultrasound, allows our physiatrists and pain management physicians to precisely place injections exactly where they’re needed.

This level of accuracy helps improve outcomes, reduce risk, and deliver targeted relief for spine and joint conditions.
