We’re excited to introduce Koren, the newest member of the Unify team!

Originally from Chicago, Koren moved to Phoenix in 2011, drawn by the mild winters and sunshine ☀️. Since then, she’s gathered a wide range of experience across multiple industries—bringing with her a deep love for learning, problem-solving, and making things run smoothly behind the scenes.

At Unify, she’ll be helping us level up in all the ways that matter—creating more flow in our systems, supporting big projects, and helping us operate with more ease and clarity. In client terms: she’s here to keep the engine running strong so we can stay fully focused on your experience.

Koren enjoys reading and exploring topics like health, fitness, and wellness, and gets outside when she can for a little adventure 🌿📚. Basically… she gets the Unify vibe.

Fats aren’t bad-your body actually needs them.

They play a role in brain function, hormone production, nutrient absorption, and even protecting your organs. But the type and amount matter.

• Unsaturated fats (like those in olive oil, fish, and avocados) can help lower LDL cholesterol, support heart and brain health, and reduce inflammation.

• Saturated fats, found in things like butter and coconut oil, can raise LDL and should be limited

• Cholesterol is necessary for cell structure and hormone production- but your body already makes what it needs. HDL helps clear it out; LDL. can lead to buildup in arteries.

Most people get too much omega-6 and not enough omega-3, so it’s less about cutting out fats and more about shifting the balance.

🌟 Client Spotlight: Meet Teresa🌟

At 64 years young, this inspiring Ahwatukee resident has been a part of the community since moving from Richmond, VA in 1997. A dedicated wife, mother of two, and accounting professional, she spends her days behind a desk—so finding a fitness routine that truly worked for her lifestyle and body was key.

With no athletic background and living with RA, traditional workouts weren’t the answer. After trying Zumba and hitting a wall, she found herself back at square one—until her good friend Olivia introduced her to Unify.

Since joining us in November, everything has changed. 🙌

💪 Mobility and strength now have real meaning in her daily life.

As we continue to exercise in this heat, let’s make sure we’re prepared and taking all the necessary steps to stay safe and healthy! 💪🏼

⭐️ Top Things to Keep in Mind
- Hydration is an all-day thing! We can’t just take a couple gulps of water right before a workout and expect to be ok
- Keep some cool water on hand while you workout and take frequent breaks to sip some water
- If you’re working out for more than 60 min outside make sure you have a sports drink with both electrolytes and carbs on hand
- Replenish the water you lose through sweat!
